Nicholas Gilbert, who tends 1,400 cows at his dairy farm in Potsdam, close to the Canada border, told
The Atlantic that a recent order of livestock feed cost him $2,200 extra due to
tariffs. The feed came from Ontario, and he mistakenly believed his supplier at the Canadian mill would cover the difference.
ahhh yes. the suppliers are just going to cover the difference out of the goodness of their hearts and everybody will live happily ever after the end instead of simply just passing the added costs down to the consumers.
but hey, it will be worth paying all those thousands of extra dollars every time he needs to feed his cows just as long as he gets to read some mean tweets out of it. that's what he voted for.
