It's not like the SEC ever prosecutes anyone other than the token fall guy and us little folks. No one ever goes to jail for blatant market manipulation, at most they get slapped with a token fine.

FWIW if enough investors feel like there is rigging going on at such a high level they may act accordingly which will not exactly help Trump either. I don't think there really needs to be an SEC investigation if enough investors start getting suspicious.

I think most of the investors who matter are in on the deal, I doubt there will be enough pissed off outsiders to do anything. Market manipulations like this don't happen unless Goldman-Sachs, JPM, and all their buddies are part of it.
