Economy Trump's April 2nd Tariffs

It is kinda funny to hear the people whose policies have literally stolen the future of the last 2 generations whine about their 401k going down.

"Your could raise the tariffs 300%, it ain't gonna bring back that $1 a day job making paper clips, nor does anybody here want it."

"Your kids will learn to love sorting through landfills for scrap aluminum instead of going to public schools, which wont be a thing pretty soon."

Instead of the adding a tariffs line item to the bill, they should put a picture of trump pointing to the extra charge with the words "I did that"

I feel like this was inevitable even without tariffs. They are super strict about what movies are allowed to play and they already limit the number of foreign releases per year anyway. A lot of movies like Top Gun Maverick and Deadpool have been super successful even without the Chinese. Hollywood just needs to make better movies. Realistically a lot of movies could probably survive on domestic audience alone if they budget it right.

What policies are that? We've had multiple recessions now with Republicans since I've been alive. Every time it's been a democrat to fix their shit and then once a Republican gets in they fuck it up all over again. America deserves this pain, how the fuck do so many people still think Republicans are better on the economy. Oh, I know. It's because we have networks funded by billionaires who gaslight us into thinking tax breaks for the rich will somehow help us all.

Can anyone answer this question for me.
I agree with certain Tariffs like the ones on imported cars because there is a USA car industry but the ones on imports from 3rd world countries like for things like clothes manufacturing seems weird; there isnt a massive USA clothes manufacturing industry. I dont see who this is 'protecting' in the USA....?

Lol why are you even posting? Nobody takes you seriously. Why don't you go to the Legion and go have a chat with the old timers, maybe they'll listen.

I have no love lost for authoritarian Xi but...let's be fair here Hollywood has been shit for the last 20+ years. Creativity is gone and much of what we see are remakes or reboot of old classics. There are a gems here and there like Oppenheimer but it's like one every 5 years or something.

Hollywood has become lazy as fuck

Great. Now show the profit margin on the receipt as well.

This is a silly bullshit thing.
Shit I would rather have this. Most places are going to hide the tariffs within price increases which can really get underhanded. Ain't nothing wrong with explicitly showing what is resulting in the final price. Plus additional costs like taxes and surcharges are usually itemized on a receipt. Nothing too out of the ordinary here. Anybody calling the BS just sounds like they don't want people to know how bad they are getting fucked here.

For businesses against the tariffs I don't think it's a bad idea.

A lot of receipts here still show how much of a purchase is VAT.

I was on the interstate today and I saw the "Love's" truck stop sign saying it was $3.09. I filled up at $2.79 yesterday. Different locations though, that was about an hour or two away.
lol you guys still pay way less than we do.
I live in an oil rich province and we still get fucked.

For premium I’m paying the equivalent of 3.86 a gallon.
