It doesn’t make sense other than as the start to a negotiation process.

it does make sense but people need to understand what the goal is now of the people surrounding Trump and why he is all in, on their strategy.

They believe:


- America is on an inevitable path to majority, minority rule
- it cannot be stopped by any normal measures
- to stop it America must be destroyed as it currently exist and remade
- they believe they can get their Dictator in place and if he has control of the Military they can dominate

This, in their view, gets America to their vision of Puritan Christian Nationalist nation.

They are all in on this now, knowing it is now or never due to demographic shift.

Operationally here are the steps as the path to Fascism is most at risk by a common uprising of the people that rises against it early enough to vote it out:

- Discredit the Media as the first voice who could rally the populace (Check)
- Usurp power of Congress who have check and balance power (Check)
- discredit and disempower Courts (including SC) so that when you ignore rulings people will not rise (Under way)

- have army of brown shirts outside gov't, who when a populist uprising begins in the form of mass protest, your brown shirts (Jan 6 pardoned people) can attack them, cause riots, allowing the POTUS to declare a National Emergency and Martial law and suspend elections while assuming total power and authority. (check)

You're not missing anything. Companies cannot shit out a new factory next week to stand up manufacturing here. Just planning something like that takes years. They are far more likely to raise prices to offset the tariffs and wait until the next administration rolls back the tariffs. But prices won't go back, they never do. The only wild card is if this drives us into a recession/depression and people just cannot afford to live anymore. At that point the billionaires will buy up the whats left of the destruction for pennies on the dollar.
