Hegseth welcomes the audit. As an individual service branch, the US Marines have already set an example by clearing them for the last couple of years.

 
I watched JD Vance's speech at the Ai summit in Paris from a couple of days ago and the difference between former and current VPs is staggering. Vance can openly speak for 15 minutes about the future of AI without reading off the prompter and it made it sound coherent and like he actually understands what he's talking about.




This guy should be one of the people making up the image of the future Republican party.

It'll be an interesting tenure to watch; he's got the pole position for 2028 by default as of now. Marco Rubio is officially the US Gov's top diplomat as Secretary of State, but I wouldn't be surprised to see DJT dispatch Vance frequently to fill a similar role in his own place when he isn't needed in DC (i.e. to cast the tie breaking vote in the Senate). And actually Vance will be with Rubio today in Munich. I don't expect Trump to be traveling a whole lot outside of trips between the White House and Mar-A-Lago.

The pool of potential Democrat presidential candidates is garbage.

JD Vance is far and away superior to anyone they have right now.

And unlike the fucking disaster that were Biden and Harris for public speaking, Vance is fantastic at public speaking and in interviews.

Seriously... Democrats are a fucking mess right now.

It is too soon. Trump isn't even a month into his second term; he's not trying to hear that shit or field questions about who's going to replace him. He seemed more dismissive of the question itself rather than JD, who is absolutely crushing over in Europe right now.
