He's popular worldwide

The Dems went out of their way to play all these little identity politics games. While telling everyone you gotta toe the line every step of the way or you're one of THEM. Yeah that shit is finally blowing up in their face.
I don't really have a dog in this fight anymore, but saying the Reps of all people went full retard on identity politics is super lolzy. And yet it was Republicans who abandoned their traditional role and went full identity politics party, they are not longer a party of fiscal conservatism, capitalism and assertive American foreign policy.
I don't think anything really "blew up their faces" outside of their weak leadership Trump won with 2% against an emergency candidate, i don't think Trump had won if Biden was 10 years younger.
How is it super-lolzy when its literally the only thing they have left?I don't really have a dog in this fight anymore, but saying the Reps of all people went full retard on identity politics is super lolzy.
But it was Republicans who ran on "trans crap" and i do agree that Biden's handling of the border was wrong, but that was something that was specifically Biden, i don't think anyone can claim that Clinton or Obama were weak on the border. The trans crap combined with being weak on the border were key reasons why the Dems lost.
Dude come ooon lol. Up until recently I was a lifelong dem, and they are most definitely the party pushing the trans crap. To the point they might have largely lost the election on that issue as well as the border. Regular people are just not into this transgender bullshit being absolutely crammed down our throats. They REALLY failed to read the room on that one. Outside of leftist echo chambers the general public does not like trans people or want to be attached to a ticket that is heavily promoting/supporting them. How is it super-lolzy when its literally the only thing they have left?

Meanwhile Republicans just elected an economic populist authoritarian that even Bernie Sanders has said he went too far, a person that also hates NATO, Japan and Korea, staunch American allies.
Buddy Republicans entire campaign was about trans crap being the greatest threat to the nation.Dude come ooon lol. Up until recently I was a lifelong dem, and they are most definitely the party pushing the trans crap.
Crammed down your throats by whom exactly? government or private companies? To the point they might have largely lost the election on that issue as well as the border. Regular people are just not into this transgender bullshit being absolutely crammed down our throats. T
Who are they? give me a name.hey REALLY failed to read the room on that one. Outside of leftist echo chambers the general public does not like trans people or want to be attached to a ticket that is heavily promoting/supporting them.
And enough people are SO PISSED at this trans shit, that the strategy worked. Think about how pissed off people must be for that to be the case. Maybe, just maybe, the Dems should back off a little bit on pushing shit the vast majority of people don't like.Buddy Republicans entire campaign was about trans crap being the greatest threat to the nation.

Who are they? give me a name.
Yeah, that's how propaganda works man.And enough people are SO PISSED at this trans shit, that the strategy worked.
Really?By the government,
You know these aren't part of government.liberal media, and corporations.
LOLwat? Dem party is split over trans BS?A name for who, the people supporting the trans bullshit? Like the entire democratic party to the point they're actually ok with splintering the entire party over this frankly minor issue. They're willing to throw out people like me that agree with them on most issues but this trans stuff is a bridge too far. And it looks like I'm far from the only one that feels that way
Yes really. Did you forget about them making a bunch of trans safe space special unicorn days or whatever.Really?
You know these aren't part of government.
LOLwat? Dem party is split over trans BS?
Yes.Yes really. Did you forget about them making a bunch of trans safe space special unicorn days or whatever.
Ok?I didn’t say the media and corporations were part of the government. But they sure collude together when it suits them.
The meme is definitively trueYeah did you see the part where the dems lost the election largely because of being tone deaf on issues like immigration and trans crap. They wanted to try to FORCE people to accept this shit by bundling it all together and saying you have to vote for this bullshit or scary trump wins. Well Americans just called their bluff. People that fuckin hate trump were willing to cross party lines because they hate the crap the dems are pushing and Harris even more.

Well, no. The dems lost for two reasons, both of which were pretty foolish, but their poor messaging on these fronts is pretty damable.I don't really have a dog in this fight anymore, but saying the Reps of all people went full retard on identity politics is super lolzy.

Anti-immigration is un-American. We need better processing; the issue is with staffing and policy which yes, need to be improved. We are a nation of immigrants and unlike a lot of Latin Americans, a lot of people don't have native American blood that dates back thousands of years in the Americas. We literally have a state called New Mexico and a lot of Spanish names for cities and so forth.Trump is largely a turd imo but credit where it's due on the border stuff. The citizens don't WANT a porous border with anyone and everyone coming thru for handouts and crime parties. We've been pretty consistent that we don't want this for decades now. Civil war or poverty or whatever in your country of origin?
Cool I don't give a shit even a little. Good luck with your problems but stay where the fuck you are. No matter what the media tells you American citizens don't want you here, and we'll make sure you know it if you come.
We're sick of this shit.
You listen to the Deprogram podcast?Anti-immigration is un-American. We need better processing; the issue is with staffing and policy which yes, need to be improved. There's also the fact that the US and imperial core are the cause for a lot of immigration due to our meddling.
Not like the brazen giant of Greek fame,
With conquering limbs astride from land to land;
Here at our sea-washed, sunset gates shall stand
A mighty woman with a torch, whose flame
Is the imprisoned lightning, and her name
Mother of Exiles. From her beacon-hand
Glows world-wide welcome; her mild eyes command
The air-bridged harbor that twin cities frame.
“Keep, ancient lands, your storied pomp!” cries she
With silent lips. “Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me,
I lift my lamp beside the golden door!”
"The New Colossus" is a sonnet written by Emma Lazarus in 1883 to raise funds for the pedestal of the Statue of Liberty. The poem contrasts the Statue of Liberty with the ancient Colossus of Rhodes, highlighting the Statue's role as a symbol of hope and freedom for immigrants rather than a monument to conquest and war.
The poem's most famous lines, "Give me your tired, your poor, / Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free," express the Statue of Liberty's welcoming spirit to those seeking refuge and a better life. Lazarus personifies the statue as "Mother of Exiles," a figure who offers sanctuary to the "wretched refuse" of other nations, emphasizing the United States' role as a haven for the oppressed.
The poem's message has been widely interpreted and discussed, with some arguing that it contains a whiff of condescension in its use of terms like "wretched refuse," while others see it as a powerful and humane plea for compassion. Despite these debates, "The New Colossus" has become an enduring symbol of American ideals of liberty and inclusivity.
In recent years, the poem has been invoked in discussions about immigration policy and national identity, with some critics using it to challenge exclusionary policies and others questioning its relevance to contemporary debates.
Yes sirYou listen to the Deprogram podcast?
They are an interesting bunch....Yes sir
Based lads. Yugopnik describing Capitalism as, "A snake eating its own ass" is one of my favorite descriptions of all timeThey are an interesting bunch....
Well that's a load of horseshit.Buddy Republicans entire campaign was about trans crap being the greatest threat to the nation.
Uhhh..."illegal immigration"? That was a lot bigger of an issue than the Palestine one, and affected FAR more people. Not that Palestine wasn't an issue, but it was merely a sprinkle on a sundae of shit, that drove away some young people, and pockets of Muslims.Well, no. The dems lost for two reasons, both of which were pretty foolish, but their poor messaging on these fronts is pretty damable.
The first, and most important, is the economy. To the extent that anyone switched from voting D in 2020 to voting R in 2024, it was mostly because of that. I think that this was short sighted, given that even the most cursory research into Trump and Harris' respective stated economic policies would reveal that Trump is far worse, but given the choice between a status quo that wasn't working for most people and a radical change of course, it's no surprise that a lot of people chose the latter.
The second is Palestine. I don't think that too many people switched from Biden to Trump because of this (though there were undoubtedly some), Harris' support of Israel ABSOLUTELY served to suppress votes that otherwise would've gone to her. Again, I think that this was short sighted on the part of voters who stayed home because of this issue given that Trump is far worse, but the fact that Harris couldn't see this coming is pretty ridiculous.
