There's also the fact that though America generally treat "hispanics" as a singular demographic, the country of origin influences it a lot.
Cubans, Nicaraguans and Venezuelans tend to vote more in Republicans
Mexicans, El Salvadoreans, Dominicans and Puerto Ricans tend to vote more in Democrats
off course things can change with time, but usually the kind of government people fled is more important than the religious/LGBT stuff
