Fuck man what does he want the entire island for then?
its getting upgrades, and its support B-2s...sooFuck man what does he want the entire island for then?
[hits blunt]
what about buying Australia while we at it?
Just waiting for the liberal outrage when Trump org announces Trump Tower: Nuuk, resort with the greens of Greenland golf club.
The tears overflowing may create a biblical flood
It is genius. He wants nato countries and the EU to pay more and defend themselves as Russia is a bigger threat to them. Right? Aren’t all these libtards scared that if WE stop funding them, Russia will roll through Europe all the way to Paris? Like that is ever going to happen.Trump is a Master Troll

But with a few troll tweets and public statements, he already got Denmark spending a couple billion more defending themselves waterways lol
@Cajun this is the type of negotiating, or at least benefit of trumps style we were discussing. It is crude, but pretty effective IMO
A naval base with rights to minerals around it is all Trump wants, and you can see why. But apparently he is a Putin puppet.
Allowing this area to go uncheck is actually being a Putin puppet and a threat to the libtards love to cry about
Isn’t Russia literally supposed to be the biggest threat ever? And China subsidizes them. Yet when Trump wants to do stuff like this, he is considered a puppet of both? As BRICs spreads, one belt one road spreads.
Uh, hello?
You do realise Greenland is Danish territory - Denmark is a NATO member and US ally
There is absolutely zero reason for US to buy Greenland, instead Trump could be nice to US allies instead of being a bully with retarded demands.
And Trump has been demanding NATO countries pay and contribute more. Because of this, Denmark already announced they are going to spend a couple billion to increase their naval presence in the area
Seems pretty effective
lol. Trump angling to squeeze more money from that cash cow known as Denmark, and dumb libs are too dumb to see it. I reckon after Ukraine is liberated, the money we saved will be used to fund social security and balance the budget. And Trump has been demanding NATO countries pay and contribute more. Because of this, Denmark already announced they are going to spend a couple billion to increase their naval presence in the area

Aside from everything else, what fucking century do these clowns think we're in? The U.S. doesn't have a resource-extraction-based economy, and countries that do are really poor. And even if we wanted to get into mining, why would anyone sell resources for less than they're worth? And why would that be the best use of gov't money? The idea is just incredibly stupid. No one would propose or defend it if they didn't feel duty-bound to defend politicians from their party.I don't agree that there's a kernel of truth to what Trump said though.
If you've walked back your position to the point that you think what Trump said was wrong and that instead we should approach the issue in the standard globalist manner of integrating markets and cooperating on shared security interests I don't necessarily disagree but idk that I'm going to give you credit for "what you proposed" when you had to be argued into that position after spending time arguing in favor of the dumb idea and when its basically the default position of the political establishment.
So yeah if you agree that globalism is good and Trump's foreign policy rhetoric is bad and counter-productive then sure we're in agreement.
In other words, you reflexively agreed with Trump but had to be disabused of the silly idea by smarter posters pointing out the obvious flaws.I thought about it more and realized that it’s unlikely for us to be able to purchase it outright, despite it being appealing.
It's a child's view of politics which is why I compared this kind of thinking to what you'd see in a game of Risk.Aside from everything else, what fucking century do these clowns think we're in? The U.S. doesn't have a resource-extraction-based economy, and countries that do are really poor. And even if we wanted to get into mining, why would anyone sell resources for less than they're worth? And why would that be the best use of gov't money? The idea is just incredibly stupid. The fact that Trump says retarded things is what makes people react negatively to his approach. While the United States doesn’t have an extraction based economy, an obvious statement, they are in the top 3 countries when it comes to natural resource extraction and lead in many areas technologically.
The benefit of more involvement in Greenland is for the rare earth material there to offset Chinas big advantage in that space. Additionally, there are numerous advantages militarily to expanding in Greenland.
Denmark would benefit by better relations with our mining companies and we would benefit by having better access to the material.
While I agree that purchasing Greenland isn’t going to happen, I don’t see a real argument against more involvement there from a land purchase and trilateral relationship between the three parties.
Trumps approach is childish and unfortunately leads people to react negatively to this kind of approach.
That is a rude and incorrect assessment of the situation. In other words, you reflexively agreed with Trump but had to be disabused of the silly idea by smarter posters pointing out the obvious flaws.
Sure. Which is what I said. The fact that Trump says retarded things is what makes people react negatively to his approach.
But you're implying it's misguided and that there's a kernel of truth to what Trump is getting at while I think it's completely retarded.Sure. Which is what I said.
We already have a base there which the Danes have mixed feelings about, talking about making sovereign claims on the territory while trying to purchase land there sends the wrong message. When you think about it further, surely you see the benefits of the approach I laid out.
