Somehow he’s made a career for himself as a conservative American commentator, while residing in Malaysia.
I just read about him. Apparently he started off as a Reddit moderator. And then he became especially famous/controversial during the “Gamergate” controversy. He was eventually banned from Reddit but had millions of followers by then.
I never followed Gamergate and found the premise of it all to be stupid. Lol @ “the gaming community” and “gaming journalists”. WTF is all that?
It makes no sense why a guy in Malaysia would be so invested in American politics, but if his fanclub from Reddit was going to follow him to Twitter back then, I guess he realized he could just make a living putting on a show, posting whatever they might be interested in. Which turned out to be conservative western politics?
Gamergate was a HUGE deal and you should look into it. A lot of political players involved.
As for Cheong, it's no surprise he's so popular with modern conservatives.
