Wut.
The Republicans were mad at the Dixie Chicks because they criticized Bush. The reaction would have been the same whether they made the comments in NYC or London. What difference does it make? Since when do Americans have to be in America to speak about America? Do Trump's people follow this rule? They're going to El Salvador and Greenland and making commercials.
RightHe did say he was going to do anything to him for speaking his opinion.
He just said what a lot people believe and that's keep it in house.
The Dixie Chicks found out the same thing.
Nobody knows more about skincare than Donald Trump:“Dried out prune of a rocker.” I laughed, but is Trump in any position to mock someone else’s old appearance?
as if he hasn't been rocking that gay ass comb-over for decades at this point.“Dried out prune of a rocker.” I laughed, but is Trump in any position to mock someone else’s old appearance?

I'm a springsteen fan and there's a lot of us, we wouldn't let anything happen to him.![]()
‘This dried out prune of a rocker’: Donald Trump attacks Bruce Springsteen after musician’s fiery speeches
Springsteen had told Manchester crowd that Trump was ‘unfit’ and ‘treasonous’, leading to angry outburst from the presidentwww.theguardian.com
Donald Trump has angrily insulted Bruce Springsteen after the veteran musician said Trump was heading a “corrupt, incompetent and treasonous administration”. Springsteen made a series of vehement speeches on stage in Manchester as he kicked off his latest tour, arguing that Trump was “an unfit president” heading up “a rogue government”...
“Sleepy Joe didn’t have a clue as to what he was doing, but Springsteen is ‘dumb as a rock,’ and couldn’t see what was going on, or could he (which is even worse!)? This dried out ‘prune’ of a rocker (his skin is all atrophied!) ought to KEEP HIS MOUTH SHUT until he gets back into the Country, that’s just ‘standard fare’. Then we’ll all see how it goes for him!”

MAGAts, are you OK with your president threatening an American citizen like this, for exercising his rights to free speech?
Elvis' manager gave him some of the best advice of his career early on when he told him to never talk politics because either way you'd be pissing off half the public or half your audience. Springsteen has done it in recent years. He did say he was going to do anything to him for speaking his opinion.

I just think it's silly for someone to worry about what some singer is saying in that position really.the fact that the president of the united states can speak to pettily and threateningly without major repercussions is unacceptable to say the leaste. oh my what we have lost letting these losers and degenerates in office.
trump has degraded the office of the presidency profoundly.
Springsteen has always talked politics, if people paid attention to his songwriting, which I don't think Republicans generally do, which Is how Paul Ryan can claim he's a Rage Against The Machine fan.Elvis' manager gave him some of the best advice of his career early on when he told him to never talk politics because either way you'd be pissing off half the public or half your audience. I find it so ironic too because I'd suppose so many of the people who were fanatics for springsteen, working class, rural, struggling americans were his main fans. I find it ironic that his politics is so different from what I would guess theirs would be.
You either respect a guy for opening his mouth or you don't. He could easily shutup and go on with his life like Elvis and many others do.
As far as his career, he'll never need for money or fame again. I'm sure he's lost fans, he'll never lose me.
I know he did, and he's always been somewhat political but early on, he wasn't, I'd say he was more limited in his themes and vision up until maybe Born In The USA meaning the oppressive forces were maybe a parent or an employer, he matured and started to see how things are much bigger than that. He's not perfect though, he made the single Born In The USA and played the patriot angle up as well as said that it wasn't a patriotic song, he played both sides. And as he's gotten older, he's gotten more and more outspoken in interviews and more articulate. I'm aware he's always been for the marginalized americans but he expanded that to include marginalized latinos too, the irony to me is, those two groups have been at each other's throats forever.Springsteen has always talked politics, if people paid attention to his songs, which I don't think Republicans generally do, which Is how Paul Ryan can claim he's a Rage Against The Machine fan.
The Ghost Of Tom Joad (which RATM covered, incidentally) is about a character from The Grapes of Wrath by Steinbeck. etc, etc.

ahhh, the punk/nihilst approach, I wouldn't mind.
It all just gets so tiresome. We need a reboot with a fresh, younger cast playing the roles. Something. Or tear it all down. Nothing is fine too.
- The douchness of this promo is hilarious. I read on Christian Cage voice!“Sleepy Joe didn’t have a clue as to what he was doing, but Springsteen is ‘dumb as a rock,’ and couldn’t see what was going on, or could he (which is even worse!)? While there's hardline steps that need to be taken before such a situation was to be created. We dont need masters. I dont know about you, I dont.ahhh, the punk/nihilst approach, I wouldn't mind.
