Dreamers get a path towards citizenship, Trump gets $25 billion for more fencing.


I saw Dems take it.


Obviously this is trash from Trump. The wall is basically useless as anything other than a moral victory for his ego, then he ties it to something actually important: the fate of dreamers.


So let the clown have his fence and let the dreamers stay. That's the moral choice in this shit-show ultimatum.

This is the formula here that's been clear since Trump got in. Give him the wall/ security end and you'll likely get amnesty thrown into the mix by the end of this. I really don't think there's much stopping immigration reform at this point.

Like, I totally understand the apprehension about other regions, but blocking tacos, hard workers, beer drinkers, and fine ass Latinas?

News in Washington just got interesting again. Knew this was going to happen but have no idea how the GOP handled the 20-30% of their base that thinks their anti-amnesty but they also are anti-deportation. In other words, they don't know what to do other than claim outrage when they here the A word.

It's weird but I have been thinking of this the past two weeks and the scenario plays out badly if they don't take it. The deal is simple because he's putting a price on amnesty for the Dems. If they reject it, they pretty much just said amnesty for those people isn't worth that price. As much as they can try to get into the logistics of it, the scenario to an illegal will be the president has an offer on the table and the party they thought had their back is splitting hairs over price/ terms. The optics aren't good.
 
DACA Don, whose approval ratings are very bad, campaigned on kicking out illegal immigrants and building a wall that Mexico will pay for. Now he wants to give 2 million ILLEGAL immigrants a path to citizenship while making the American taxpayer foot the wall bill.

Sad!!
 
You know it's good when many on both sides don't like it.

We will see how this works out.

At least he came up with something.

Now let's see who voters it down and why.

Is the wall a deal breaker though when you have an offer on the table to grant a decent amount of these people citizenship?
 
He hasn't actually struck a deal until the Demms approve it. This is just the opening offer. As far as Mexico paying for it, how about we use some of that 20 Billion they seized from Mexican Drug Cartels to pay for it? Let the people who are smuggling drugs help fund it. Poetic justice. ;)
