I agree. I also think that if something from her testimony is contradicted by info in the Epstein files and they can prove she intentionally lied, any commutation of her sentence should be off the table.

There’s exactly one reason we’re even hearing from her again, and that’s because Trump wants to clear his name. Kind of leaves us with no other choice but to assume that simply releasing the Epstein files (like he promised) wouldn’t do that.

My suspicion is just that the investigation turned up some questionable things that make Trump look bad, that’s it. Maybe not even illegal, could be as simple as things that would bruise his ego, could be flirting with the illegal, or with knowledge of what Epstein was up to, but there’s definitely something. Dude is on tape saying there are things in the files about him that are fake, so it can’t be good.

You’re right that, a) they will disappear whatever they can, and b) his cult won’t give a shit, regardless. But Trump’s ego is legendary. Anything embarrassing about his sexual prowess or whatever would be devastating. I mean, there’s got to be some reason he refuses to let people see them at this point.
