The fact that he did or did not "promise" to release these files means nothing.
Except this is what you guys have been screaming day in and day out. The rest of your post isn't worth my time, especially since you tucked tail just the other day in another thread.

Except this is what you guys have been screaming day in and day out.

You're defending the coverup of Epstein's sex trafficking case by claiming "well he never promised he would release the files!"

That's disgusting, cult behavior, and there's no getting around it. What Trump "promised" or what "you guys" said has no bearing on that. The actual facts are what I laid out in my previous post which you—shockingly—don't want to respond to.

The rest of your post isn't worth my time

That's fine. You tucking dick and refusing to acknowledge it is all the confirmation I need that you have no legitimate defense. The rest of the forum can see it as well, and that was all I wanted to accomplish.

especially since you tucked tail just the other day in another thread.

I'm pretty sure I've never "tucked tail" on this forum. Why would I? I don't believe I've ever lost an argument here. If you know of an occasion where I had, please refresh my memory.

If you're referring to the ICE case from yesterday, what response does your reply warrant? All you did was parrot the bullshit coming out of the DHS. The video clearly shows the agents attacking the vehicle prior to them driving away, and then opening fire on them, which is beyond excessive force, since they could have easily shot and killed the other occupants. Anything else is pointless conjecture until proof is released.

Except his official twitter campaign account said he WILL declassify the Epstein files. Which he verbally said on the stump as well.

I was about to give you a like when I noticed you wrote, "...verbally said...". Captain Pedantic could not approve.

;)

But seriously, pointless dispute is pointless. The sunk cost fallacy is in full effect in his case. He must defend Big Orange Bitch Tits all the way at this point.

Are you that entitled? You can't even handle someone asking a question which may have an answer that hurts your narrative? Several posters who I have disagreed with plenty in the past were able to have a brief civil discussion with me about it. It's not a difficult thing for most adults, you know. And I'd ask you to explain why you think someone asking a question is covering up for Epstein's sex trafficking, but you and I both know you won't.

Addressed in the article I posted ITT earlier today.

I just said I think it's closer to a molehill than a mountain

I think a big part of the reason no one is being held accountable beyond Epstein (eventually) and Maxwell.... is that it wasn't as bad as the right has been claiming the past few years.

With a significant lack of evidence and more feelings over provable facts, it's not a surprise prior administrations (Trumps 2016-2020 included) haven't been able to nail dozens of celebrities and socialites with heavy charges related to this

Trump and Co turned it into a major mountain tho, and that's why none of this makes sense and is frustrating
Maybe you shouldn't use big words like molehill and mountain when talking to him , you've clearly confused him .

Did you agree it was a campaign promise then?

Jizzlain has an upcoming appeal. Her legal defense likely has the right to stay a public release of evidence until her rights are played out..

Just speculating.

No. Did you read the article?
your argument is that the social media account of his campaign doesn't count towards campaign promises?
it's not like he corrected the post. he had a chance later and he reconfirmed he'd have no problem with it.

so pretty clearly, and obviously, trump and his campaign included declassifying the epstein files as part of why you should vote for him.

he and his campaign wanted you (clearly) to believe you were voting for the candidate who would declassify, and he's done nothing but gaslight and insult our intelligence.

Melania is apparently hard at work behind the scenes, sending threatening legal letters to anyone who might connect her to Epstein.

I guess Michael Wolff isn't worried because he just said in an interview Epstein actually fornicated with Melania a few months before Trump got together with her.

I'll re-quote the relevant part.

"Would you declassify the Epstein files?" Fox News' Rachel Campos-Duffy asked. Trump responded, "Yeah, yeah, I would."

That clip was circulated widely online, including by the Trump War Room -- the social media account of Trump's campaign operation. The account posted it to X with the caption: "President Trump says he will DECLASSIFY the 9/11 Files, JFK Files, and Epstein Files."

But Trump's full answer to the question wasn't shown until it played on Will Cain's radio show.

Trump went on to say in the exchange with Campos-Duffy: "I don't know about Epstein so much as I do the others. Certainly about the way he died. It'd be interesting to find out what happened there, because that was a weird situation and the cameras didn't happen to be working, etc., etc. But yeah, I'd go a long way toward that one."

As frustrating as it may be, I don't see any promises there. @trumpwarroom is an affiliate of the official campaign Twitter and they chose to go with the headline they wanted. Your mind is made up, so we can agree to disagree.

so the campaign made a promise, and later trump said:

  • "Yeah, I'd certainly take a look at it. Now, Kennedy's interesting because it's so many years ago," Trump said. "They do that for danger too, because it endangers certain people, et cetera, et cetera, so Kennedy is very different from the Epstein thing but I'd be inclined to do the Epstein. I'd have no problem with it."
he had the opportunity to walk back what his campaign had promised, and he reinforced it instead.

i don't see how you can interpret this as NOT being a campaign promise. now, pols break campaign promises all the time, but i don't think it's appropriate to suggest this wasn't part of the campaign or what he ran on. people had a legitimate reason to expect him to follow through, and he's done the opposite.

I'd = I would.

Key word, "would." Again, if your best example of how Trump apparently "ran his whole campaign" on releasing the Epstein files is one tweet from a twitter account affiliated with his actual campaign's account that claimed Trump said something he didn't say, then that's pretty flimsy. Again, I'm frustrated by his non-committal answers but that's politics for you. I just see a lot of people saying he ran his campaign promising to release the Epstein files and I was wondering if anybody could supply evidence of that. Doesn't appear so. If you think it is, we can agree to disagree. I understand you don't understand how I can interpret it this way, and I feel the same way towards your claims. No point in going back and forth forever. I've gotten my answer.

i don't see the word "would" in "i'd be inclined to do epstein. i'd have no problem with it"......nor in his official campaign stating trump "WILL declassify". again, you're free to suggest that people shouldn't have actually believed it. and obviously they shouldn't have. but many did, and with good reason. surely you see that.....
