According to reports, Pennsylvania Attorney General Josh Shapiro said Trump indicated that the recent wave of anti-Semitic threats might have come from "the reverse" to "make others look bad." Shapiro was one of the attorney generals who met with the president in Washington on Tuesday.

Trump can be his own worse enemy sometimes. I really think this isn't a worthwhile direction to take. Just keep the answers simple and don't make more trouble/controversy for controversies sake.

Edited to the top for everyone reading this thread to take a gander at: http://fakehatecrimes.org/

It’s a stupid thing to say because he will get eaten alive for it but, frankly, we’ve had plenty of people in this very forum salivating any time some supposed pro-Trump violence happens and are there shouting to the rafters and pointing fingers – and a fair bit of that violence ends up being false flags. Frankly, there is some serious egg on the faces of a lot of people here because they spent weeks mocking people who said “You know guys, this could be a false flag…” (not me, by the way – I was smart enough to keep out of these threads entirely) and then they did turn out to be false flags. I’m sure someone here will post the thread of the church burning for us to review because something tell something tells me a lot of people here didn’t learn a lesson from that.

Our closed minded, partisan driven inability to admit that a false flag is a *very* easy and powerful tool to use in an age of viral news on social media is just that – partisan hackery. But still, when it scores points for our team, we *rush* to laugh and jeer and point fingers at the other team every time something happens that makes the other side look bad – and in doing so, we give false flag smear jobs their power. I’m looking at you asshats in the forum who rush to judgement every time some hoax springs up smearing the side you don’t like and you’re quick to spread it, never even considering the possibility that it is a hoax, and ardently mocking those who step back and say “Guys, let’s wait until they know who did it – it could be a false flag…”

Remember this?

"As firefighters neared the historically black church Tuesday night in Greenville, Miss., they saw flames in the windows and smoke pouring from the roof.

When they got closer, they could see two words spray-painted on the side of the burning sanctuary: “Vote Trump.”"

And then this?

"JACKSON, Miss. – A Mississippi man arrested in the burning of an African-American church that was spray-painted with the words "Vote Trump" is a member of the congregation, the church's bishop said.

Andrew McClinton, 45, of Leland, Mississippi, was charged Wednesday with first degree arson of a place of worship, said Warren Strain, spokesman for the Mississippi Department of Public Safety. McClinton is African-American.

McClinton was arrested in Greenville, where Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church was burned and vandalized Nov. 1, a week before the presidential election."

But yeah, quick - make sure you're the first to virtue signal and make a few cutting quips about how it couldn't *possibly* be the guys who are playing victim now who are doing some of this stuff. Just ignore how powerful and easy a tool it is to cry victim about something you yourself did while pointing a finger at someone you don't like...

Edit: Found our own thread on it.

Does anyone remember when it was when @HomerThompson turned into an utter shitposter? I actually used to like the guy...

I think he may be saying things like that Jewish girl that drew swastikas around her dorm and blamed it on neonazis so she could be a victim and get more attention

Or those Jewish guys that did nazi poses at Richard Spencer's speech so they could call it a nazi rally, even though they and tila tequila were the only ones doing it

A proper response from the President is to direct an investigation, not to raise conspiracy theories suggesting the jews are being sneaky.

This fucking retard doesn't know how to be a dog catcher.

Regardless if it is possible that Jews could be the perpetrators of these attacks, he's the fucking President, he shouldn't say anything of the sort until an actual investigation has concluded and there's evidence pointing towards the culprits.

But now we should cast doubt on every racist incident?????????? What about some decency and sobreity

Trump has many Jews that support him, are around him, and has many Jewish friends in addition to a Jewish daughter, son in law, and grandchildren, Trump is also friends with David Friemdan, Bibi, and many other high profile Jews who are also diehard zionists. In addition, I believe one of Trump's sons is married to a Jewish woman and his other daughter (Tiffany) is dating a Jewish guy. So clearly Trump does not dislike Jews.

I don't think Trump in the slightest made this comment with any degree of anti-semitism.

In fact Obama was most likely Anti-Semitic and many high profile people thought he was. Obama repeatedly showed his dislike for the Jewish state in addition to his dislike of Jews.

That thread was gold. If I recall, Coolidge took people to task after it was discovered to be a false flag.

Yeah, it was one of many gems from this election cylce. You ended up looking pretty darned good at the end of it too.

This is a useful resource I found from that thread.

People in this thread should give it a look see.

Agreed he doesn't know how to talk to people who want to hear a president talk "properly". Frankly he's right though and these attacks and stuff that happen and no one knows who did it but they get so much online publicity have a habit of being straight up lies.

I personally don't care to much about the way he talks but I'm fed up with presidents just saying what I want to hear and how I want to hear it. It just sounds so fake and disingenuous at this point that it's almost insulting. Just tell me what you think and lets go from there. Unfortunately for Trump he don't speak to good.

But now we should cast doubt on every racist incident?????????? What about some decency and sobreity

There has been so many fake hate crimes lately it's hard not to. You should blame the people faking the crime, not the people who become skeptics

Boy who cried wolf

He's right though. So many of these incidents turn out to be faked.

Regardless if it is possible that Jews could be the perpetrators of these attacks, he's the fucking President, he shouldn't say anything of the sort until an actual investigation has concluded and there's evidence pointing towards the culprits.

Like a president commenting on police shootings before ANY evidence is found????

So "the jews did it". If anything Trump is doing a great job at echoing his supporters.

But really what a monumentally stupid thing to say.

in before ben shapiro gets triggered on twitter

According to the ADL, Ben Shapiro is the #1 target for anti-semitism on the internet, but he also has never blocked anyone on twitter

There's a lot of things I think he's annoying about, but he doesn't rustle easy

Like a president commenting on police shootings before ANY evidence is found????
How is that related to this subject? But since you wanted to make that comparison, did you agree with the president commenting on police shootings before any evidence was found?
