No. If he fires Mueller two things are invariably true.

He did something that he believes Mueller has found or will find.

He doesn't understand the political capital he will lose by doing it.

Trump's best bet is to just continue questioning the investigation and it's credibility to have a built in response when whatever comes down the pipe comes. Firing Mueller basically seals his fate and leaves the gop in Congress with no way out other than face losing both the house and Senate or impeaching him.
