If you really think what's playing out is "an investigation falling apart", I think you're in for a rude awakening when this is still going on deep into 2019 with increasing volumes of acute revelations regarding ties to the administration.

By fall apart I mean lost all credibility. There has been enough conflict of interest and improprieties established to cast doubt on whatever conclusion they come back with. Not only that but these other things that are being discovered all point to a coordinated effort to take down a president. And more and more representatives and journalists are starting to call it out.

This is no longer something just being discussed on the internet or among a certain crowd but are actually being investigated now by Republicans. That spells the end of this investigation. The only reason its had any teeth at all is because Republicans, along with conservative MSM FOX, were giving it credibility while feuding with the president. But now Republicans and Trump's DOJ have begun to open their own investigations and actually look at the real, provable dirt that's been piling up for a year. Because of this you are starting to see Republicans call out Mueller and this entire cabal. If Republicans, along with half the country, aren't going to respect the conclusion of this investigation then it becomes irrelevant. Well...we've hit that point.

For the record, I don't mind them investigating all that other stuff you mentioned. It shouldn't be used as a smoke screen to divert attention away from Trump's involvement. Point is, Trump won't fire him because Trump can't fire him. Mueller has about as good a reputation as any public servant in the country has or ever will have.

But I do care that he picks the same people who exonerated Hillary and received tons of money from the DNC. I do care that he has strayed away completely from his original mandate of investigating OOJ and is now scouring the full backgrounds of Trump and his circle for any crime possible...even process crimes. I think it's unfortunate. He put himself in this position though. Now he has to deal with it playing out. IMO, regardless of the merits (it may well be warranted) Trump will be impeached. He will stay in office if he didn't collude with Russia. He will be censured if he did something relatively benign. If they find something unrelated to collusion it will have to be pretty damn serious to force removal from office.

It's not a great sign for Trump when idiots like Louie Gomert are saying that Mueller is a left wing crusader.
