Trump may fire Mueller next week

I am getting the sense that he will not, the fallout would just be too hot to handle.

But then again this being Trump he might push the "fire Muller" button while downing double Diet Cokes in two fisted fashion.

If he does it it's because it's his best option, in other words he will do it if he knows they have proof of bad doings and the walls are closing in .

Of course the concern is not that Trump is actually guilty of something and will be convicted of a crime. We all know thats not going to happen. The concern is that his political opponents and deep state enemies will use this out of control investigation to smear him with lies and fake news in hopes of provoking an impeachment.

If Trump is innocent then he should be supporting this investigation, since it would prove that he is innocent beyond any doubt.

And don't think that people who want Trump the hell out of office don't see this. Pence is smarter, smoother, and has a much better relationship with the GOP. fair enough on all fronts. His people shouldn't have been talking to the Russians (legalities aside, it looks really bad) and he's generally walked himself into this position with the special counsel. Otherwise I don't necessarily disagree with you, but the optics of Mueller are such that he is really a difficult person to impugn on merits.
