International Trump is Truly a Putin Cuck - Russia and Trump Says Ukraine Must Elect a New President as Part of a Peace Deal

What exactly is the argument against them having an election? Zelensky canceled their elections and named himself dictator with the excuse that they were at war. If the war ends, why in the flying fuck would they still not have elections?
I was not aware of that. Scratch my "extreme" comment from my previous post.

Trump is also claiming Zelensky's approval rating is only 4% based on absolutely nothing.

Actual opinion polls throughout the entire war have him above 50%.

Trump is the Russian stooge he's always obviously been. The pee tape is real.

I'm not worried about this at all. No matter what Trump says, Ukraine (and the E.U.) have to agree to it. Also, does anyone actually think that Ukraine will just say "Well, Russia has 4 oblasts, so we'll just GIVE them all of Ukraine, even though we've held them at a standstill for the past 3 years."

Besides that, if Trump pulls aid from Ukraine, E.U. has already said they'll shoulder the load.

They have to...

Or they're next.

Lol, seems like only yesterday you tards were pretending we had to launder hundreds of billions of dollars through Zelensky to "defend democracy", and are now clutching your pearls at the thought of even having elections and not just making him dictator for life.

This is just unfiltered Russia propaganda.

The country is under martial law because they've been invaded since 2022. There were no parliamentary elections either.

Everyone with half a brain knew the extent of trump’s “negotiations” was to give Putin everything he wants and then claim victory like some hero.

It certainly seems like it is going this direction.

And his base will still eat it up and call him a peacemaker.

Sigh.. I miss the days where republicans actually considered Russia a threat to American values instead of whatever the fuck is happening on that side nowadays.

Lol. Zelensky should just peace out of office and offer a full unconditional surrender of Ukraine and then give em all the finger as he moves to another country. Obviously the Trump administration is telling Ukraine they might as well give up and take the shit deal even though they were invaded.

Zelenskyy's term ended last year, but he cancelled the election. If he refuses to hold elections, he's a dictator. This isn't a controversial issue.

Wartime Elections in Ukraine Are Impossible

Voting in the middle of the Russian invasion is legally and practically unworkable.

"Article 83 of the Ukrainian Constitution states that if the term of the Verkhovna Rada expires under martial law, it shall automatically be extended until a new Rada is seated following the end of martial law. Article 19 of Ukraine’s martial law legislation specifically forbids conducting national elections. Thus, for Ukraine to conduct elections while under martial law would be a violation of legal norms that predate Zelensky and the full-scale Russian invasion."

Nobody is taking ALL of Ukraine. Russia will get a few territories that are probably filled with Russians anyways.

Also, the only reason they've held them at a mere standstill is because of the ridiculous amount of aid they've received. Time's up on that, so now what? It's either WW3, or...Ukraine has to concede some shit or be left to fight without hundreds of billions of dollars every other month. What would you prefer? Seriously, this is real world shit, and not some videogame where you can turn cheat codes on and have Ukraine smash Russia. The rubber will meet the road eventually. Without actually fending off Russia with a real military initiative from Ukraine's allies, what did you picture the end result being?

100 percent. Erdogan didn’t come out in support of Ukraine out of the kindness of his heart. Russia has had its eyes set on Istanbul since Tsarist times.

And Erdogan KNOWS that the Black/Aegan Sea connection are CRITICAL to their survival and security. There's no way that they're just going to roll over and let Russia have it all.

I think the number 1 concession is not forking over hundreds of billions of money for a conflict you, hog, says admit Russia will keep territories and won’t be in NATO.

Perhaps also save hundreds of thousands of lives, stop potential spreading of conflict, etc.

The ultimate concession will be when Europe refuses to increase their military spending in the wake of all this, proving the narrative that we need to do this to stop Russia from rolling through to the Atlantic Ocean, created by warmongers, was perhaps the stupidest narrative every created, and anyone buying into it is a complete Moran

Where do you people get these ridiculous and completely inaccurate numbers? The US hasn't given "hundreds of billions." Stop believing biased articles or believing things just because Trump said it.

It's literally on the official government website. They gave 65.9 billion in military aid since the war started - much of which were old weapons in storage. Then about 40 billion in non-military aid.

U.S. Security Cooperation with Ukraine

This is a deal. What concessions are you looking for? Ukraine is now the Holy Land or some shit? If Western nations wanted them to continue as is, they'd give them more help than merely using them as a money laundering operation.

The election thing could be considered a bit extreme, but aside from that, what were you expecting? Without NATO actually helping them out and putting boots on the ground, this was always the end game, because Ukraine can't win the war on their own. They're not negotiating from a place of strength. The bill came due. They have to negotiate, and they will certainly get the short end of the stick. Should've been done a long time ago, if the only plan was to just give them billions of dollars and weapons every other month to maintain a stalemate. That tap was always gonna eventually run dry, and Ukraine was always going to eventually be in this situation. It is what it is.

How about negotiate from a position of strength. If Russia doesn't give any concessions, we'll keep supplying Ukraine. Then negotiate down from there.

Instead, he's literally letting Putin fuck him in the ass and get every single thing he wants. Yea what an awesome "dealmaker."

Oh NO It's real world?! And here I was thinking that it was a game of Starcraft!

You're failing to realize that Russia isn't anywhere even CLOSE to the hard part yet, which is the occupation of a hostile nation. Russia doesn't have the troops for that. No way. Do you REALLY think that Ukraine will just be... OK with all they've endured under the invaders?

Come on man... Wake up and smell the Horton's.

Parts of it definitely will be. Do you think all Ukrainians are dyed in wool Ukrainian, like they're fanatical Muslims clinging onto to some Holy Land or some shit? A good portion of them are sympathetic and have allegiances to Russia. It's pretty complex stuff, military man. It's not as simple as "Good vs Evil".

The territories Russia has taken were pro Russia prior to the war and they still are.
