There's no proof that actually happened. That's just the claims of his dad who didn't see him for 8 months.

Sure, but that shouldn't cloud your mind of other forms of torture that could lead to such a condition. That's a "you" problem. Torture isn't all nail pulling and blow torches. There are many forms.

In terms of "accepting" any report, you must also accept "official" reports from Russia that said a guy committed suicide by jumping out of a window, under those conditions. It's not unhealthy to speculate that there might be something more to it, and nobody should be let off the hook, just because they present a certain brand of politics one agrees with.

Such a confusing reply to my post. I've never said Russia/Putin was a good guy or in the right; only that it was a concern for them.

The same way that we had concerns during the Cuban Missile Crises even thought it was just a year after we had funded the failed Bay of Pigs revolt.

He’s taking money and not paying it back. He’s sold some of weapons that we gave him. He’s hasn’t been all that thankful to the US for providing him with weapons and helping him beef up his military. Some of military leaders seem to be making out well during this war. Their wives buying $100,000 + cars. Yeah, Id say he’s a grift.
 
Elections in Ukraine? We thought the 3 am ballots in the U.S. were sketchy. The elections are due, but there's been this thing called a war. I'm queasy on forcing any government to change leadership during a war. If that can be done, then they were nothing more than a puppet in the first place... which we all knew.

That place has a history of puppet governments both Russian and US, with election interference being expected by all sides. I'm gonna guess the winner will be known before the first ballot is "counted". It should be fun.

I think this one is pretty obvious. It's all culture war BS. Putin embodies everything that gets the right wing's panties wet. Anti-lbgt, pro homogenous population, etc. The right favors Putin so much because he is all about what they want over here.
