Social Trump is the fakest person on the planet - Bill Maher after dinner with him

You okay @Loiosh?

Nuance and objectivity in any discussion about Trump is exclusively a far right tactic.

Now go and repent by saying 5 hail marys, 3 our fathers and rinse out your mouth with palmolive.

Nuance and objectivity from the far right?

Was thinking of making a thread on this, but this seems like a good thread for it, as the left is big mad at whitmer, just as they are with Maher

Trump is legit hilarious. Bring Whitmer in, who praises Trump’s economic policies, extend an olive branch, show Trump is a deal maker and likes to build bridges, not burn them down.

Only to then sign an EO to investigate the election, with her there, as if she is in support lmao. Ultimate troll

CNN big mad that she was used as a prop

eh, I take it back, maybe @terrapin was right. You are a shallow, dimwitted headcase
It's all about the psychological need to normalize things that aren't normal. Everybody is prone to it but we must be absolutely vigilant not to normalize Trump and we must stand against every attempt or accidental attempt or unconscious attempt to normalize him because Bill is doing that in one of those ways.

If we normalize him, his behavior becomes acceptable to us on some level and his behavior and actions are not acceptable and it takes psychological and emotional vigilance to maintain standards that Trump is wrecking nationally and globally.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Kash found some Epstein evidence with Maher, and they used it to blackmail Maher into doing this. To help inoculate people to the incoming Trump dictatorship and basically fascist, neo-Nazi state.

Expect to see much more of this in the coming months
That's the darker side of what may be motivating Bill... and you may be right, but I'm concerned with people's psychological need to reconcile things because it's easier to feel peaceful that way.

Having Trump continually and daily behaving in ways that are completely abnormal, objectionable, immoral and despicable is psychologically draining for human beings.

All Bill Maher is doing is the lazy man's unthinking and stupid way of coming to peace with a situation that is not peaceful. Lots of people are doing it in their own personal lives, but Bill Maher is doing it publicly and dragging many unthinking and unwise people down with him.

That was one of the most despicable segments Bill Maher has ever done and he is causing great harm to the country.

It’s really odd that he fell hook line and sinker at this dinner. Trump is like the boss or supervisor that is super cool, and personable with you and has your back when it’s one on one. Then throws you under the bus during client meetings and shits on you in public. What a fucking mark.
I mean it's so obvious.... Very disappointing. How many people in this thread can't see it. Even more disappointing that once they see it because it's been pointed out to them, they won't admit it out of pride.

Pondering Politics reveals how Bill just got played by Trump into rehabilitating his image and reputation.

Well... No duh...

Pay attention you guys. You're missing something here. You don't have to admit it to me, but you need to see it for what it is because the times we are living in are far too important for you to lose the plot.

Bill's guest does not question Bill Mahers motives... only his intelligence for not seeing that he's being used by Trump.

lol damn you Bill Maher, you had one job and that was to lie and be deceptive. How dare you.

He had one job and that was to not allow a sociopath to charm him for 2 and 1/2 hours into rehabilitating his image to the entire nation.

But he missed that one opportunity.

If Bill Maher is surprised that Trump can be funny and gracious, then he's never thought about Trump in any meaningful way. Ted Bundy Hitler and a long list of other sociopaths could be incredibly charming and loving even.

Trump is no different.

If you read the comments below this segment on YouTube, you'll see that many/most people can see what just happened.

So he learned his TDS wasn’t as warranted as he thought and that how others foam in the mouth about Trump isn’t needed as much . Interesting , he can go have a civil conversation with someone instead of yelling Nazi no platform.

Also this just in politicians put up a front in public, say it ain’t so !!!

Yes people can see what happened who weren’t there and Bill was, good take. lol be real bro , making the same point his guest made “ the internet “ bill shut that down. Perhaps you should watch the show in full to understand that dinner and not YouTube commentary

Btw the way the rest of the show he trashed Trump and some of his latest things he has done .

That isn't remotely true.

This isn't true either.

I don't like Maher or often agree with him, but I don't particularly distrust him. He said multiple time Trump is doing terrible things he has and will continue to call out, he was just saying trump didn't present the same facade face to face, and I can see that. Woodward said similar things.
He's a shithead content creator who will do and say whatever makes him the most money

Basically another Colin Cowherd or Stephen A Smith

Consistently fills the media bucket with more low quality slop

I watched the portion of his show and was encouraged. I think we all knew that Trump plays it up for his idiotic base that worships the character he built. It's good to know he is more sane behind the scenes.

That being said, lets not act like Bill only said good things about him LOL - anyone who watched the whole clip knows he said he is still concerned about why he chooses to act like a tard at times and that he still said dumb things during their conversation.

Maher isn't the end all be all that he likes to claim either - he seems to think he is the moral authority on everything. I enjoy his show but I don't think he is all that either.

The best thing about this story is that the 2 sides could come together and show mutual respect and get along and be cordial. That is how America should be.

One of the most tiresome posters on here. Even more wearying that they seem to think they're smart.
I can only assume by his love of the Grateful Dead, conspiracy theories and religious dogma and guns that there was a hefty amount of LSD involved in the making of the creature we see before us today.

I don't like Maher even a little bit, and he's had terrible takes on things like vaccines and how it's impossible for an older woman to "rape" a man. He's a smug, ignorant cunt.

However, him saying Trump was different in person than in public syncs with what Woodward said and what others have said about how Trump is playing a part in the biggest reality show of all time. When Trump chose his cabinet he wasn't picking the best people (obviously) he was casting his show.
