"Donald Trump’s lawyer backtracked from her suggestion that a new trial may be warranted in writer E. Jean Carroll’s defamation suit against the former president because the presiding judge in the case worked at the same law firm as the New York writer’s attorney three decades ago.


Trump attorney Alina Habba changed course Tuesday two hours after Carroll’s lawyer Roberta Kaplan blasted her in a court filing for raising “utterly baseless” questions about her past ties to US District Judge Lewis Kaplan, with whom she worked at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison for less than two years in the 1990s. Kaplan — who isn’t related to the judge — raised the prospect of seeking sanctions against Habba over her “false allegations.”




“Since Ms. Kaplan has now denied that there was ever a mentor-mentee relationship between herself and Your Honor, this issue has seemingly been resolved,” Habba said in her letter to the judge."

re: DNA.
E Jean Carrol's attorney requested a DNA sample from the orange rapist in Jan 2020. He refused.

Then, the day prior to trial, Donnie tried to strike a deal to provide DNA sample...... Trial's aren't "Lets make a Deal" though and discovery was long passed, so DNA evidence was excluded.

If Donnie knew he was innocent, he would have provided a sample, and there wouldn't have been a trial.

Not a court case, not a Nobel Prize, not the November election. Trump's got a habit (well, allegedly quite a few between the pills and the blow) . The habit I'm referring to is losing. He just fucking hates to WIn.

I never mentioned the E. Jean Carroll case in my question. You're the one having trouble. This thread is about Trump's criminal indictments, You said it's all political and suggested law enforcement getting involved was inappropriate.

So again, whipped geezer, when they sent a man to Ruby Freeman's house to try to intimidate her into falsely confessing to a serious felony or else had MAGA sicked on her, do you think what they did is ok or not?

Inflation is down, employment is high, and he's been 100x more pro labor than Trump, Obama, Bush or Clinton. My alternative is a fascist thug whose only significant piece of llegislation was a tax hike on the working class and a tax cut for the wealthy, who wants to round up 20 million mexicans and put them in camps. So it's a pretty easy choice.

I wish Biden would stop getting cucked by Israel and supporting genocide, and I wish he was pushing some sort of aggressive relief for housing, but Trump isn't doing those things either.

Lol @ open borders. Biden is ready to sign a bill. But the House Majority leader has said any immigration bill the Senate sends him is DOA. Not even interested in reading it, let alone working something out. Republicans do not give two shits about the border except as a political tool.
