The crazy thing about Trump is that if he never ran for president, he probably would’ve continue to be a fairly well admired celebrity. People generally liked him and he was very successful on TV had all the money you could ever ask for and was well liked. Then again, he did win the presidency!

His 4 years as President were like a drug for him. The guy went from having a headline in the papers once a year, to having a headline once a week. He had 4 star generals calling him Mr. President. He had thousands of people showing up at rallies to hear him speak incoherently and off the cuff. He's had thousands of people killed such as high profile military targets and then brag about how they died like a dog. For a narcissist like him, the Presidency is like the hardest hit of any drug any tweaker could ever have, and he's been chasing that dragon ever since Biden got reelected.
