Your proposition would only be valid if we accepted the notion that all lawsuits are completely valid. If we accept the notion that people file lawsuits for frivolous or other invalid reasons, then your proposition fails.

See, my issue here is with your conclusion and your initial premise that even if he is guilty it's no big deal. If he is guilty it's a huge deal. I get that it's only a 7 figure plus fine, but the fact that he illegally used a charity for business and political uses should absolutely disqualify anyone from office.
