I never said the joke was funny, but just because the joke was funny doesn't mean it's racist. Tony even said that people calling it an attack on the people of Puerto Rican people were taking it out of context.
isn't this the same guy who said you shouldn't have to walk back or explain your jokes if people get offended in regards to a bunch of prior racially charged shit he said in the past? why is he doing that now?
i mean personally i don't find that all that racist compared to some of the shit people have thrown at the wall, and he was insulting more of the state of the country rather than the people who live there and i can understand your point you are trying to raise there.
but i can see why many puerto ricans are taking it personally. especially after they got levelled by that hurricane and had to wait 2 years just to receive full relief funding and shit so they could recover and shit while the potus just stands there throwing paper towels at a bunch of hungry people for a tv stunt. since then many of them have got the feeling that america doesn't really care about their territory, they mean nothing to america, they feel deserted, and they are nothing but garbage to them. just a floating island of garbage that may as well not even exist to anybody. that's the message that alot of peurto rican's are going to take out of that, and if you can't understand why that joke is going to be taken by many as racist then you are part of the problem.
but that was pretty far out of left field. combine that with his comments about black people carving watermelons for halloween and all those jokes on twitter about black people and buying slaves and shit, and we've got ourselves a real piece of work right there. maybe you might not want to consider bringing that guy to do standup at a political rally, while the media on the other side is already calling it a hate-fueled nazi rally full of racists and shit before the doors even open. prove them wrong, don't prove them right.
when you even got republican senators and congressmen disavowing you and the trump campaign trying to distance itself from you after you told some jokes, maybe you just shouldn't be telling those jokes, because either it was too raunchy for even those people to digest and they really did get offended by it, or enough of their constituents are going to find it raunchy and offensive enough to possibly cost them their own elections.
bring that shit to a comedy club in hicksville arkansas. not to a political rally with all of the eyes of the media on you.
