1. Natural selection doesn't rely on macro evolution being true
2. Having similar characteristics doesn't prove one begat the other. One would have to already assume macro evolution is true to come to that conclusion.
3. Never said it was... Natural selection is only observable within a class. Remember the archaeoptryx example that you haven't continued With? A to R to Z. The Galapagos show things go from A to B
4. Define reptilian and mammal DNA. I've already stated I don't find it surprising we share DNA. I believe we were created by the same process so sharing elements of life doesn't seem bizarre at all to me.
5. I believe they are. The complexity of our central nervous system, eyes, and consciousness is ridiculous and to think of how it works in unity
6. You assume they died out rather them adapted. Why?
Doesn't rely upon macro evolution? What does that even mean? Macro evolution is a fact, and a part of natural selection. Do you even know what micro and macro evolution are?
If we were all begat (lol) by the same process, mammals and reptiles would have many of the same genetic markers. However, since natural selection is proven to be true, we see mammals with reptile genetic markers, and reptiles without mammal genetic markers. Weird!!
Having similar characteristics that evolved over time to the point in which the species are unrecognizable to each other is easily proven. A reptile does not begat a mammal, samples of reptile populations with distinct genetic markers, within specific environments, adapt and develop different genes in different ways. Over countless generations, they have evolved in enough distinct ways to be consider a new species entirely. The reptile to Therapsid evolution is well known, you just dont care to actually educate yourself on the issue.
Your third example means nothing, as it is just word play with the gaps within the fossil record.
add human anatomy to your docket of things to learn fact 1 about.
Our eyes filter light in a manner that has to flip the picture multiple times, requiring far more energy than other animal's eyes require, and many species can see far better than humans
Our knees are still evolved to walk on all fours, and break down quite easily on bipedal humans
The female pelvis is not very well designed for childbirth
The urinary tract runs through the prostate in males for no reason
We dont really need our tonsils or appendix
We get nasal infections quite easily
Our sinus arrangement is still evolved for us being quadripeds
Our vertebrae are still evolved for us to be quadripeds
Some of us grow tails
Some of us grow way too much hair
We have ear muscles for reticulation that do not really work, that work just fine in our primate cousins
We have goosebumps despite not having bodies covered with hair anymore
We have wisdom teeth
We still have tailbones
The palmaris longus muscle in the arm is not needed, yet around 15% of humans still have it, despite it serving no purpose
Males have nipples
