Seems like he was criminally investigated and charges weren't filed. Of course "beyond a reasonable doubt" is a very high standard of proof. House Ethics Committee investigated him as well and we might never get the findings of that investigation.On a positive note, since he was victim of a frivolous investigation with the intent of assassinating his character in the media, at least we'll know he won't have any tolleration for frivolous investigations.
And he hasn't displayed any flaws in his character that he'd tollerate any frivolous investigations toward his political opposition.
Attorney General of the US isn't a fucking job at Walmart where only an actual felony conviction might preclude you from being hired. There should be a higher standard. One of the allegations the ethics committee was investigating was him giving political favors so it's possible that he would "tollerate" a frivolous investigation.
