International Trump Admin accidentally leaks Yemeni war plans....

Are there still users ITT arguing no classified info was shared in the chat??

At this point either you're a troll, a Trumper, or intentionally being ignorant like Joe Rogan ("I don't know much about it but maybe it was a setup".

It was an ACTIVE MISSION CRITICAL STRIKE PLAN. Anything and everything in that chat was classified for the sole reason that the attack hadn't happened yet! Lol

Target was given.
They mentioned the weapons systems.
Time was given.

How is that not classified when you're about to bomb a place and you haven't done it yet but you're talking about it. By definition that's classified, you don't want the enemy to know ANY of that info which could aid them in countering that attack.

Give it up MAGA. SignalGate is real and it happened, deal with it.

Just remember if they didn't add that journalist they probably would have continued to use the unencrypted chat for other things I am most certain of that. Granted the chances are small someone could still steal the chat information

Unencrypted?

I stand corrected. That is the first time I've read Houthis mentioned by name. Still not sure it endangered American lives, but I was wrong regardless and have no problem saying so.

As for condemning, I said it was incredibly stupid. I even asked why they were on Signal to begin with.
Cheers. Internet debates would be so much better if all just recognized when we were off instead of doubling down.

Gabbard really disappointed me. She is a deer in the headlights. I expected better.

She had ties to the Science of Identity Foundation. Shit is absolutely bonkers. Religious converts always seem to give off estranged vibes in general. It was a similar case with Vance, the guy claimed to be an atheist edgelord until he met Thiel (gay technocrat), who guided him into the light...

The Science of Identity Foundation (SIF) is a new religious movement started in the 1970s. It was founded by Chris Butler after he broke from the International Society for Krishna Consciousness. It is based in the US state of Hawaii.

Its theology combines yoga with aspects of Gaudiya Vaishnavism, and adherents must practice vegetarianism. It includes condemnation of homosexuality and hostility toward Islam. The group has come under a great deal of media focus due to politician Tulsi Gabbard's ties to the group.

This is the look Vance makes when he realizes that there is a woman soldier in the room.
I'm convinced some British squaddies took the piss out of him when he was in iraq , apparently he was there for six months and never saw combat, yet strangely has six medals, do they hand them out with happy meals?

Signal uses basic peer to peer encryption. But anyone with rudimentary hacking skills can access through it. No different than if they were using Facebook messenger for this.
This is quite an overstatement, no? I'm not aware of any Signal hacks because it still stands as the go-to client for secure and private messaging short of something more anonymous like Session.

For fairness sake, I even found this from February so that it was before the incident

Hackers can exploit the shared devices feature to view messages live as they appear on the targets phone.

That has nothing to do with encryption though. That's a phishing scam.

Ah. As I understand that exploit is just a phishing campaign and not a vulnerability in the encryption itself. Essentially it's still encrypted as normal, but a second device is linked to the account from scanning malicious QR codes or fake invite links. "Not a problem" if the user doesn't fall for it from what I gather.

ERBIL (Kurdistan24) - U.S. President Donald Trump issued a stark warning to Iran, stating that if Tehran fails to reach an agreement with Washington over its nuclear program, military action could follow. Speaking in a televised interview on Sunday, Trump also suggested the possibility of reintroducing secondary tariffs against Iran if diplomacy does not yield results.

In a telephone interview with NBC News, Trump confirmed that discussions were taking place between U.S. and Iranian officials but declined to provide further details. However, he made his stance clear:

"If they don't make a deal, there will be bombing," he warned. "But there's a chance that if they don't make a deal, I will reimpose secondary tariffs on them like I did four years ago."

During his first term (2017–2021), Trump unilaterally withdrew the United States from the 2015 Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA)—a deal between Iran and world powers that placed strict limits on Tehran’s nuclear activities in exchange for sanctions relief. Following the withdrawal, he reinstated sweeping economic sanctions, prompting Iran to exceed the agreed-upon uranium enrichment levels, raising concerns over a potential weapons program.

Tehran Dismisses Trump’s Ultimatum

So far, Iran has rejected Trump’s warnings. Tehran’s response, delivered via Oman, conveyed its stance on the nuclear negotiations. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi, speaking to the state-run IRNA news agency, confirmed that Iran had formally replied to Trump’s letter urging a new nuclear agreement. However, he provided no details on its content.

Western powers continue to accuse Iran of pursuing a clandestine nuclear weapons program by enriching uranium beyond the levels necessary for a civilian energy project. Tehran, however, maintains that its nuclear ambitions remain strictly peaceful, aimed solely at energy production.

Oh, that makes it all good then when people were telling you that you were wrong while you refused to make any effort to educate yourself. The Atlantic published the full text of the chat and that's been mentioned repeatedly ever since. I don't buy your excuse-making.

Do better.

Hmm, I've not really posted in this thread until today, so, no links have been given to me.

And who the hell is reading 80 pages?

Why are they doing stories about his kids? Oh that’s right you guys like to shoot at people you don’t like

A post was responded to with factual information.

Relax.

No, they provided intelligence used to make the attack which in turn may have or did, in fact, expose intelligence assets. Not to mention all the other damage such a leak can do.
