Yeah Paxton was great. "Ass like a 10 year old boy!". Funny that back in '94 that was a huge compliment, nowadays you get slapped for that shit

Hilariously brilliant line. We used to use it all the time when I was in the military.

You also dont like the 6th day. Your sherdog account needs to be ERASED. Damn, such a good catch phrase.

Well, I mean it's not exactly like I am the only one. . .

Eraser isn't as good as the 6th day. How long ago did you see it? I highly recommend a rewatch.

It's been a little while for both, but I remember both being pretty poor. They felt uninspired and not worthy of Arnold's talents.

I'll give you this though: I'd take either of them over Collateral Damage.

Great movie and also one of the best Sega Gensis games

Here's one thing that really blows me away:

This movie is 23 years old now and yet it looks better in terms of its effects than most action movies today.

There were a lot of scenes that I felt looked cutting edge for 2017, much less 1994.

Collateral Damage was very bad, I agree.

Tom Arnold was hilarious. The movie wouldn't have been as good without him.

Bill Paxton was awesome too.

I thought he said "and a pair of titties, makes you want to get down and beg for buttermilk. Ask like a 10 year old boy!"

True Lies is very good but I don't consider it great. I always thought it was Cameron's weakest effort (before Avatar). But a weak Cameron film is still an excellent film, don't get me wrong.

And I thought 6th Day was pretty good. It's all but forgotten about now, but it was ok and it had an interesting premise. I could never make it all the way through Collateral Damage or Eraser. Just couldn't get into 'em.

It's as good it gets in an action subgenre where it's hard for films to rise to being called "great."

James Cameron surprised some people with his ability to write and direct comedy so well.

James Cameron thanks you for not mentioning Piranha 2.

So it's excellent, but not great? Where's the dividing line between the two?

Regarding Cameron's film and how they rank, I dunno. I'd have to rewatch The Abyss, but I'm not sure that I feel like The Abyss is a better film than True Lies. Been a while since I saw it, though.

What action sub-genre are you referring to exactly? Do you mean action-comedies?
