I can take plenty of jokes and I love dar humor but there is a difference in my opinion being an asshole for attention and being truly mean spirited, its like if someone goes on youtube and talks a bunch of shit about a cancer survivor who is out making speeches on how to be strong and keep on fighting, why would anyone be mean about something like that? It just makes no sense to me, making a joke about the world trade center or a school shooting, its a fine line but a joke is a joke, straight up saying those kids deserved or the shooter was a hero (hypothetical things a mean spirited person would say), that makes no sense, its not funny in a dark way or anything, its just mean.

Now im not saying colby has said anything of that sort but it seems like he is trying to be mean, not even funny per say, just my opinion.
 
Hard for me to see anything but sad and desperate.

I still have zero interest in this guy. I don’t want to listen to him, I’ll watch his fights only because they will be there.

Is he mean spirited? Maybe. He seems like a soft little wanna be mean guy to me. I wouldn’t be shocked if this guy googles his name everyday
 
Are guys like Thiago Alves no longer at ATT? I don't just don't see how he keeps it up with so many Brazilians at that camp not checking him at least once

Keyword: in your opinion.

Everyone has a different threshold when it comes to jokes, everyone has a different definition on where the line is. A lot of Muslims consider any jokes about Muhammad/Allah completely crossing the line, and would consider a cartoon depiction of their prophet extremely offensive, criminally mean spirited and even punishable by death, while the rest of the world would simply chuckle. That just means Muslims have a low threshold when it comes to jokes about their prophet and God.

All you can say is Colby crosses your personal line because you have a low personal threshold. I have a much higher personal threshold and he's nowhere close to the line for me, in fact I think he needs to go further because what he's saying is way too mild for my taste. At the end of the day it's personal taste vs. personal taste and opinions vs. opinions.
 
He definitely reminds me of a tryhard neckbeard. Biggest problem is he doesn't make fun of anyone I'd like him to, except Woodley I guess.

He’s clearly a slow guy, not the sharpest, he’s trying to do a Chael/WWE thing but as a slow/dull guy he comes up with his cringy material


It sounds mean cus he doesn’t know how to be funny, he doesn’t understand the art of the funny insult
 
He just doesn't seem particularly smart or clever. Say what you want about Conor, or Bisping, or Chael... at least their trash talk was entertaining cause they're decently clever people. Colby's trash talk just makes me feel bad for him.
 
The thing that makes trash talking work is Charisma and wit.
It’s pretty much 90% delivery.
Colby lacks those things.

Thiago seems like someone who can see passed it. (Probably has better English) At the UFC 117 press conference he’s next to Chael laughing at everything

Yea but im not saying he offends me, if colby came at me with his trash talk I would laugh at him for his weak attempts, I dont think you are understanding what I am getting at, its not that I am here with the pitchfork saying Colby is evil and needs to be banished, I am saying that he is simply mean spiritied in his attempts, I wouldnt take offence to his remarks I would actually wonder why he is full of so much hate.

Now that is even if he is serious, maybe he is 100% trolling and its probably what it is since its getting him attention and a title shot like someone said.

And like I already said, what is and isn't mean spirited is entirely up to personal interpretation. The same joke could be construed as harmless by one, mean spirited by another and deserving of the death penalty by a third. I don't see any of his jokes as remotely mean enough for my personal taste, but that's just me.

IMO where he's fucking up is his insults aren't much worse than what we've all heard before but his vocabulary is limited and his delivery sucks as @sss133 pointed out
