I used to make rape jokes about my (ex) wife and she would talk about murdering my mom. We would then proceed to try to claw each other's eyeballs out. She'd usually win due to biotin enhanced fingernails, but once in awhile I'd come on top. For us that was playful banter. You're just extra sensitive and have a very low threshold compared to Colby. If his cringey school yard insults are getting to you that's an indication of you having some inner demons. I would recommend reading Jordan Peterson's book 12 Rules for Life: An Antidote to Chaos. It might do you some good.
