Trip to Thailand

But the food at the camp is good. They have a BBQ every Sat night.

When your there eat the thai food..dont be afraid to try somehting new...Also the thai food is light and keeps you going all day
 
I ate thai food everyday. I didn't eat from the street vendors. I was very careful not to get sick, I didn't want to miss any training...lol I was the only person I went with that didn't get sick as hell.

I ate at the vendors..I also drank a buttload of cold coconut juice you get at those little carts on the street..it made me have to drop a deuce every half hour but man it was good

^Thats what I'm also thinking. How can I not go to school for a month? haha

RYU, I heard a lot of bad stuffs about the accomodation in Kaewsamrit. How was it? Is it airconditioned? How's the training? Thanks in advance dude!

The accomodations suck but you live with the other fighters..can pay extra for an AC..thats in 03 though..probably has changed since
 
I recently returned from Fairtex, Good location and 1 on 1 training.
food is also good but like some people said dont be afraid to try new things, I ate everything from chicken feet to beetles.
not many camps provide 1 on 1 training so fairtex is worth looking into.

Thanks for the reply TapSD. I'm just worried bout the heat+humidity might just trigger my asthma and send me to the hospital instead of the gym. I'll just email kaewsamrit bout this.

I'd go back to Keatkhamtorn just for the food. Seriously some of the better food I had while in Thailand was while I was there. A couple of German guys arrived at Keatkhamtorn while I was there, after being to a number of different well known Bangkok camps. One of them said at most of the other places, the food was so bad, all he'd eat was ketchup on rice. At Keatkhamtorn, he ate everything. When you're training hard twice a day, you've gotta love what you're eating, so you can eat a lot, and train hard. As Jakae the camp owner would say, 'Thai food, powerful!' 'sticky rice! good power!' 'farang food, no power!'. It's actually so true.

I'm heading back there at the end of the year to train for probably 2 months or so. Can't wait.

The humidity was the biggest issue for me..but after about 3 or 4 days I was good
