It does look like he is a blue belt:

RDCC - RED DAWN COMBAT CLUB LEONARDO XAVIER BRAZILIAN JIU JITSU ASSOCIATION

This is ridiculous. Anyone going to this gym is wasting their money. This man has no business opening his own gym.

well I wouldn't go that far. It seems he teaches out someone else's gym and is running more of a club atmosphere. If the price is decent then it could possibly be a viable option for those who are in a financial situation, brand new beginners, or ppl who just want to roll around.

If anyone is looking for an alternative, I think there is a De La Riva school opening up in Bayside soon.

Just wanted to point out that I am no longer a blue belt. Frankly I have not been one for a long time but I didnt belong to a school so I could not get promoted. When I joined Leonardo's Association, he saw that I was in fact overdue for my purple and he promoted me shortly after.

To prove to myself that I deserved my Purple Belt, I competed at the OTM Regionals and took Silver with Knee Bar. Here is the vid:

I also competed shortly after at another tournament in NJ where I took Gold and broke someone's ankle. I am not trying to say I am hot shit for breaking his ankle, I am trying to point out that just because I am not a Black Belt does not mean I am not qualified to teach.

I have been training in Martial Arts for 22 years. I have trained in Judo and Sambo along with BJJ and at real deal Judo and Sambo clubs. So even though my BJJ rank is not up there I am no newbie to teaching or fighting.

Hey guys, I know my website shows me wearing my blue belt. I joined Leonardo's Association as a blue belt, but after he saw me roll and teach he promoted shortly afterwards to Purple. To prove to myself I deserved it, I competed at the OTM Regionals and the NJ State BJJ Federation Championships where I took Silver and Gold respectively.
