A homeless man named Travis Decker has been wanted for the past 3 months for the murder of his 3 daughters at a campground in Washington state. The girls were apparently on a scheduled visit when Decker failed to return them home and authorities were contacted. The girls were found at a campground with their hands bound and several plastic bags over their heads. It appears now that Decker is deceased and his body has been located not far from where the crime took place.

It's about fucking time, if it's actually him. Sad he wasn't found alive, he needed to pay and suffer for killing three innocent little girls.
"Preliminary findings suggest the remains belong to Decker." Maybe clothing? Idk. That was a lot of time for a body to be in the woods picked apart by animals.

I assumed he had killed himself... I've never heard of a father that killed his kids unless it was part of a murder suicide. Mother murders of children will sometimes try to get away with it and move on... but when dads do it, they do themselves as well.

I just wish these assholes would change the order of events... start with the suicide first.

It's a very good point and a very interesting dynamic actually, something I'd never thought about before. Anyone have any theories on why this is? It definitely is a noticeable trend.

Except when they also kill the wife. Look at Chris Watts and Anthony Todt just to name 2. They killed their entire family and tried getting away with it.

That Chris Watts case is crazy. Some chilling shit. And it looks like his mistress was probably involved in some way or at the very least knew about it.

Killing your children is one of the highest crimes. I know his suffering will last for eternity.

This is in no way excusing any crimes committed or anything like that, but I think men know there will be very little, if any, sympathy or leeway given to them in court.

Women are afforded much more lenient sentences.

Maybe yeah. Also, could be that men do the "if I can't have you, nobody will" type thing where they wanna take them with them out of spite of some kind. Whereas women might think "they'd never suspect their own mother". Maybe, fuck knows.

If you haven't listened to Watts' full detailed confession yet, do yourself a favor and just be good with the surface level understanding that he killed his wife and kids. Hearing him describe how he murdered his two daughters will haunt me for life. There's a special place in Hell reserved for that guy.

Too easy of a way out but at least he can't hurt anyone else

I saw the Netflix doc when it came out. Pretty horrible. I also saw a follow up interview the detective that got the confession did with him. No remorse whatsoever, it's pretty chilling.

If you're talking about the one that's audio only, when they visited him in jail, that's the one I'm referencing too. Horrifying.
