Depends on the personality of the individual, IMO. Personally, I like both, though they each have different pros/cons. I’d say give it a go, and see if you like it.

That’s on my list, but I’ve heard so many bad things recently, so I kind of started looking elsewhere.

Which region or regions are you going to? I imagine boracay is somewhere in your itinerary? One can do so much in a month! Sounds awesome.

There are definitely some areas that are depressing but ive never felt in danger anywhere. No opinion about other islands as I went out there for work for a few months and we stayed near the IT park area which is all hotels and skyscrapers, went to a few beaches and such, its pretty chill except like everywhere in the Phi the traffic is a little nutso (people weave in and out on scooters like its a Nascar race, although ive never seen an accident which os wild)

I do it all the time. No biggie. I also hunt, hike & fish alone quite often.

I once took a last minute first class flight all by myself from SoCal to Europe to personaly purchace & bring home an extremely rare & valuable instrument.

Ive been around people all my life, i enjoy being alone when i get the chance.

All my travel to other countries have been done by myself. I've now visited some of the same countries many times so have friends and acquaintances that I see when I visit those places.

I always travel alone. I mainly go backpacking though, which means I rarely am 'alone' as I meet tons of people in the same boat as me. It's good for getting laid more often than not. I like my own company so I never get lonely or feel awkward if I dont meet anyone, but I am very sociable person - twice, I went on 6month trips with two of my mates. I didn't enjoy it anywhere near as much - my mates preferred 'our' own company rather than making the effort to speak to other people, which didn't fit my personality at all.

Because there you are. Eating alone. Talking to nobody. Its 8pm and nothing to do. Guess I'll go down to the hotel gym. But if I do that I won't want to do it in the morning. Just jerk off? Nah - too early. Could do it twice, now and later? What's on TV? How the fuck do I work this remote?

The trick is to wank to something on TV so you can figure out the remote at the same time.

Multi tasking is important.
