Traveling By Yourself

I do it all the time. At least half of the countries I’ve been to was basically solo. Most people I know can’t really go to a lot of places very easily and I can’t wait for people to figure a way, or the want, to go to different countries and places with me.
I am ready for that adventure homie

Flying to the Philippines tomorrow morning solo for a month, although I will be spending pretty much the entire time with a girl I met there on a work trip back in April.

Most of my friends are poor/lazy so Im perfectly fine traveling solo.

Solo is the way to go.

Just 5 minutes ago, my wife's friends invited us for an overnight stay at a beach resort 110 miles away. So that will be me riding my bike 220 miles in 2 days.

id like to travel alone. i do most things that way anyways.

but knowing me id get myself trafficked or some shit.
or maybe not. idk, im pretty old now. but something bad would happen, i know that much lol.
If you get trafficked then call me. I'll be like Liam Neeson in that one movie.

"Love actually" where Liam moves on with his life

I like doing both. Even when I go with others if it’s a country or city I haven’t visited at some point I will go off by myself if I want to see something no one is interested in.

My ideal travel is going somewhere where someone I know is from. I can spend time seeing all the normal touristy things then meet up with them and see all the things that I would never discover or see as a tourist

Having said that traveling with friends or the other half is awesome too.

I am absolutely stealing this line

Probably for the best, if you felt constrained by them.
The life of a dirty scumbag contractor. I go on trips between contracts, which regularly doesn't coincide with the leave schedules of anyone I am dating at the time.

Always. No need to compromise or argue about where and when to eat or what to do or where to stay. I much prefer solo travel.I don't care what anyone thinks about.

I don't travel much nowadays. But when I was younger, I went to Cuba by myself. Also Germany, England and Netherlands.

That’s on my list, but I’ve heard so many bad things recently, so I kind of started looking elsewhere.

Which region or regions are you going to? I imagine boracay is somewhere in your itinerary? One can do so much in a month! Sounds awesome.

It’s relaxing in its own way, have done it several times for longer business trips, if I didn’t have a family, I would totally travel on my own.

Dislike.

Because there you are. Eating alone. Talking to nobody. Its 8pm and nothing to do. Guess I'll go down to the hotel gym. But if I do that I won't want to do it in the morning. Just jerk off? Nah - too early. Could do it twice, now and later? What's on TV? How the fuck do I work this remote?

How many of you like traveling by yourself as opposed going in a group?

I haven't myself yet and want to.
I like travelling solo. Easier to take things in, reflect, learn..so much is missed sensory wise when talking or distracted.

When traveling alone in my opinion its best to do "activity traveling"

Like hiking the alps or running across africa or getting 13 different STDs from thailand

I used to. Went to multiple countries that way. It was a lot easier.

Now, I have a family and don't like travelling alone anymore.
Im similar

I think i can still do by myself but prefer to have my family

at one point i hit a high of 200 days traveled out of 365. in and out of airports almost every week. job stuff. one advantage is you get metabolically linked to being always on the move, which i suspect will come back to haunt in my old age.
