I think it's worse than that. It's not that they don't care if they break a company, that's actually their goal half the time. That's why they never create anything and just parasite onto existing things (Star Wars, Sports Illustrated, Bud Light, etc). That Wiki link is utter garbage but I honestly didn't know that was a slur and still don't. But if I meet a Transformer in my day to day life I'll make sure I don't call it a "Tranny"....don't want to offend it.
