Our state broadcaster has put out a piece here working a different angle on its campaign to reverse the recent school board policies announced in NB and SK (where the parents of kids who claim a "trans" identity at school will be notified) - they're playing the Indigenous card. Schools have to help messed-up kids on their gender journeys behind parents' backs because of "two-spirit". I'm really just posting this to point out a not-very-subtle propaganda technique: this is an op-ed but is presented as news. I will be complaining to the CBC ombudsman and I hope others do the same. A question we might ask ourselves is: why the fuck is our state broadcaster so intent on manufacturing consent for a system where teachers facilitate secret "gender identity" transitions and keep secrets with children?

"That starts the conversation and gets kids thinking about their own pronouns."

As in, they weren't questioning their identity, and it was a direct result of your lesson that they began questioning their identity.

If these identities are so immutable and so strongly held, wouldn't they have already been questioning their identity before your class?

I think it’s ultimately a battle of words. Human beings are binary. Period. Identity and gender however are not sex and is all over the map.

I think a lot of non-binary people just struggle with not wanting to be labeled male or female because they have characteristics of both or don’t like the baggage that comes with it.

Still, that doesn’t change reality. You are either male or female. There is nothing wrong with being a feminine male or butch female. That doesn’t mean you get to be a magical new species because of it.

There's a word for that...I just can't put my finger on it...

They're actively creating a feedback loop in the minds of these kids, getting them to obsess over their supposed innate "identity" and encouraging them to interpret normal aspects of childhood (like a preference for toys/hair styles etc stereotypically associated with the opposite sex) as evidence that they were "assigned" the wrong body.

I keep weakly saying that "by God, one day people will look back on this and say it's insane!!!" but why the hell aren't more people recognizing this as what it is right now? I feel like I'm taking crazy pills. I'm sure a lot of teachers etc are well-meaning but om some level they have to realize what they're doing here.

Yeah it's obviously not entirely inherent. There are at least a couple other things that factor in, including being introduced to the idea of gender identity. I wonder if there is such thing as a tomboy now or if they have all been taught that they are nonbinary or whatever.

"About 69 per cent of the delegates agreed that young people should be barred from gender-affirming care, which sometimes includes hormone-related treatments that delay puberty or promote the development of masculine or feminine sex characteristics."

"Delay puberty". Fuck off liars. You can't simply "delay puberty" like a switch that can be turned on and off. If you're interfering with natural puberty, you are causing irreparable change and harm.

It's gay people in denial, nothing more, nothing less.

"No, I'm not an effeminate man attracted to other men - I'm a woman, I'm heterosexual deep down."

"No, I'm not a butch tomboy woman attracted to other women - I'm a man, I'm heterosexual deep down".

It's extreme conversion therapy for insecure, weird gay people who can't accept their own reality.
