Social Transgender Megathread Vol. 2

Did you join the pronoun circus?

  • Yes

  • No

Yeah.

So you think our President is saying that he abides genital mutilation?

What about cutting off a ton of a baby's dick? That's okay.

Circumcision doesn't effect fertility or sexual function and arguably has some health benefits. Its a totally retarded comparison and not the gotcha you think it is.

You clearly haven't been in the Sherdog discussions about it over the last 15 years and its folklore. Maybe I'll introduce you to tipping next week.

I think plenty do speak out about it but unless you preface that you have politically left leaning sympathies how would you know?

There are many people that don't fit into the political party charade, it doesn't suit the narrative of division to remember that however.

The point is that you think you know someone's entire politics because of their view on one issue, that's the result of being captured by ideologies.
I've got a mixture of left wing and right wing views but even if I was completely on the right I'd still be able to see what is going on.

For example, this is the leader of the main left wing party in the UK:

Here is what two elected politicians in the Labour Party have said recently:

Here is what happens to left wing people who do speak out about trans issues:

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/ar...text=She quit her job at,for her to be sacked.

I didn't claim to know someone's entire politics because of their views on one issue. However, as soon as someone tries to criticise any aspect of this transgender ideology the left rounds on them and tries to destroy them.

The groups are certainly co-opted by such people. The right are more resistant to it being as they have more traditionalists, bigots etc.

Starmer seemed reasonable there, I'm not a fan of his. He's too legal profession and New Labour for me. The best response to extreme trans activism is to welcome them in and then have discussion with all parties. That consensual politics is the way, rather than marginalisation, which only makes a martyr of them. You saw similar and more politically important behaviour from Corbyn early in his career when he was a key player in bringing in Sinn Fein/provisional IRA to the British political process.

I guess the right has its triggers too, but they tend to be regarding financial policy.

But yes, I agree the left broadly does have a problem with being co-opted by 'progressive' movements. In a similar way that the right has a problem being co-opted by the rich.

Talk about INSANE!

Looks very like someone I know from another forum, exact same creepy smile.

That guy transitioned in his 30's but was a complete creep long before that. He had shagged a borderline mentally disabled girl on some forum meetup (she definitely had some learning disabilities anyways) and bragged about it and teased her about it after the fact. Quite the surprise that the biggest creep on that forum was the one that turned out to be trans years later.

No. Are you referring to gender affirming care? Of which I dislike a lot of.Let's talk about which parts you disagree with.

i disagree with anything that affirms it.

it should be treated like anorexia or any other mental illness. with anorexia the patient doesn't get referred to a weight loss clinic or a surgeon for liposuction or stomach stapling.

for under-18s, surgery should be banned and grooming them to get surgery or medication later on in life should be banned too.

if an adult wants to get surgery, therapists still have a duty to speak the truth, so no affirmation for adults either, but if they want to go under a knife that's on them. the medical community are snakes though and each patient makes them $1 million+ throughout their lifetime.

what parts about gender affirming care do you agree or disagree with?

Katy, TX just passed(4/3) that any student who wants to change their name or pronoun the parents MUST be informed. NJ and CA have been suing districts that passed the same policy.

It's catching on over here as well. The Trudeau appointed Education minister just shared the same opinion today, in light of a poll showing that the majority of Canadians agree with that notion.

And of course, our lovely media painted it as a "controversial" statement, and had Kathlene Wynne, one of the worst Premiere's we've had, who happens to be gay, at the ready to try and explain why the LGBT community think they should be raising your kids, instead of you.

Now, critics say that the Liberals are just trying to steal votes away from Conservatives on this matter, but hey, if it leads to some sanity within that party, go for it. You know they're terrified, when they're throwing their pet group under the bus to appeal to conservatives.

I read that poster. contains very thoughtful, respectful and reasonable advice. it is clearly promoting tolerance and understanding for others. posters like that lay the groundwork for making the world a better place.

and if somebody wants to change their name, well it's THEIR name. so they have a right to be called whatever they decide.

I haven't got the first clue what @sangreporsangre is actually railing against there?

Looks like another instance of sharing something 'because disagree', with a high possibility of not actually reading what was shared?

Admittedly, I don't know what the NHS is. But that poster literally says the question "what is your name?" is a no-no. I mean...sorry...what? Asking someone their name is out of bounds? I have to be missing something here...?

Why do you need to know someone's name to treat their injury?
