So I'm contemplating whether or not to go to Muay Thai class today, I went Monday and felt absolutely terrible, I had a fever roughly an hour after the class. I couldn't go yesterday and it's completely messing with me that i've missed class for almost 2 weeks now due to this sickness. As of now the only thing that's bothersome is my really bad sore throat/ coughing and just some light head aches when moving around rapidly. I think I can suck it up for the class period. I feel really really awful for missing so many days of training it's killing me slowly on the inside. What should I do? Should I just go and tell my coach i'm sick and need to take it easy?

Stay home and don't infect your training partners you selfish piece of shit.

Came to say this. LatFlare doing gods work.

I find doing anything to stress my cns when I'm really ill is counterproductive. A bit of a sweat is fine but it's too easy to just push and push.

You should be pass infection stage but, man, I would punch you in the dick for coming to practice and spreading that shit.

Stay home and study tape. Do a stretch routine and relax. Take a bath. Rushing back from a sickness usually prolongs it. If you really need to expel some energy shadowbox a bit or go for a short run.

or just stay in bed and read up on nutrient and routines.

Lol you'll find any reason not to get to the gym, though.

Fuck everyone in this thread. I still lift if I have a cold. Someone please try to stop me or tell me to go home.

I still lift weights while sick. Training helps me flush out the cold and recover faster. Sometimes I feel stronger too.

Can't say the same about Muay Thai or BJJ, though. I'd stay home unless I was preparing for a crucial fight.

If one of my sparring partners came in while sick purposely and they aren't a professional athlete with money on the line, then I'd really consider fucking them up in the bathrooms.

Do you have money or a professional career riding on you being there? If not, then why the fuck would you go?
