Trader Joe's supplements?

Godamn. Lucky as hell there are a whole bunch of Virginians in here. I went to the TJ's off 236 right near old town fairfax looking for their greens and couldn't find it :\

Where is the one in centreville? I'll just take a ride. This stuff is too cheap to not give a try..

it's a very small bottle...next to their other supplements and what not...very bottom shelf.

If you do go to the centreville one, let me know what you think. are they all that small?

Thanks, I wonder why I never saw it driving past there.. I used to work at like 11000ish lee highway :\.

The one in old town is really small, maybe 1.5-2x the size of your standard 7-11.

I wish there was a TJ around me. I'm not driving over an hour to get to the one in Fairfax.

The one in centreville. I really think it's that particular location. Few items i've purchased from them have not appared fresh and have also spoiled rather quickly.

Well try out the one in Reston if its not too far.

I live in Martinsburg, WV. About 90 minutes or so (if traffic is okay) from DC.

First there were a ton of Canadians, then New Jersians (?), now there is a bunch of Virginians.

My experience with TJ supplements have been iffy. I took the men's once a day multi followed by the "very green" capsule after a meal last year. That night I was so sick which I'm guessing is a result of either the vitamin or the very green capsule. Either way, I haven't taken one of those since.

just thought id share, started taking the standard TJ multi with iron. first impression was pretty impressive. i asked the store manager about the multi, and he mentioned that its whole food based. not 100%, but mostly whole food. upon opening it, i noticed it actually smelled like my greens powder, not like the usual synthetic multi. also, its yellowish with green flakes, and tastes similar to a greens powder. ive been using it for a week now and definitely feel more energetic, but i also started experimenting with a higher fish oil dosage (about 6 total epa/dha daily) and also started taking a green tea extract 2X a day. so its not a direct a/b type comparison. i will say im impressed that its whole food based, considering it was 7.99 a bottle. there was a fancier version with added anti-oxiadants and some other stuff for 17.99, but comparing labels showed only minor differences.

After about 2 years of using Greens + and the year prior to that using various other brands (NOW, Barleans, etc), I bought a TJ's Greens. Been using it for almost 2 weeks, and I notice no difference from when I was taking Greens +.

The ingredient lists are similar between the two, but they're the same on the major stuff. TJ's has licorice root, and licorice flavor has always made me a bit queasy. I just stuck with it though and after just a couple days I didn't even notice it anymore.

I've still got a bottle of Greens +, which I'll go back to after I'm done with the TJ's, and I'll see if I notice any difference there, but I'm pretty sure I'll be sticking with TJ's Greens from now on. Can't beat that price.

Maybe I'll try the multi next and see how it stacks up to my beloved Nature's Plus Source of Life.

interesting update. i have a bottle of CVS brand b-complex laying around, and decided to take one pre-wo the other night. the usual glow in the dark bright pee followed soon after (i drink around 3 gallons of water a day, def the b-vitamin). i was reading over the label on the trader joes multi, and noticed it has loads of b-vitamins as well. the thing is, i dont get the radioactive pee after taking the multi. ill take this as a sign of good absorption. im a little over a week in on the TJ multi and set a deadlift PR this week and feel great. nit bad for a $8 bottle of multi-vitamins.
