Thia is the 4th of the 5 Tiger Generals. Unfortunately, the fifth one is sold out so I may be screwed on getting them all.

Name: Swordsman Assassin (irony since there is no sword) (Zhang Fei)
Pieces: 920 per Amazon (booklet says 956)
Price: $39.94 On Amazon. Got for $33.94 with coupon

So, two things made me jump on this one - first, I have 3 of the others from this series and wanted to try and get them all, and second there were only 12 left and I missed out on one of the others.
I've liked the other ones from this series to varying degrees - loved Huang Zhong (the archer), thought Zhao Yun (white/silver with spear) was only good. One super cool thing about the instruction booklets are the little stories they have in them letting you know who these guys are in history/mythology. Might be complete BS, but I'm going to trust the translations.
I really like that this guy has a mace/club for his weapon. Nice to get some variety rather than the usual Spear/Sword you see for most of these types of mechs. The mace has a metallic dark grey tint to it and a graphite shaft. Just a cool looking weapon in my opinion.
The gold plating has a bigtime yellowish tint to it. That does make it stand out from a lot of the gold you see. I really don't like the red they used though. I think a darker red would have looked much better, or even a metallic plating to it.
The head is really two separate assemblies, and I had to glue them to help keep them from spinning. I had to do this with at least one of the others like this.
Love that there were zero stickers, that's always a big plus. No stand is annoying since two of the other ones had one, and this one could really use it. The joints at the hips, knees, and especially ankles are pretty loose, so he wants to fall over. The good part is the lower half is really easy to pose and position so you can get some cool looks.
JMBricklayer is good for making sure the bodies/torsos are solid and well-constructed. Dude has Popeye forearms which does want to drag his arms down some, but not too bad. The pauldrons are actually pretty light and don't get in the way when posing the arms. The body itself is one solid piece so there is no twisting or bending on it.
Honestly, outside of the red color I'm really happy with how this guy looks.
Overall 8/10. Add a stand and it would be around a 9.

Front view #1: Good look at the mace. The cherry red is just too much.
Back view: Nothing much going on here. Good look at on of the few translucent pieces on the pauldron.
Right Side: Another good look at the mace. You can also see the skirting. I liked how those came together and they are super easy to reposition.
Front View #2: You're about to get a mace in the face! Kind of surprised I was able to get him in a kneeling pose and he didn't fall over.

Mattel gets the TMNT license starting in 2027.
Saw Super7 has the license for Visionaries, which I didn't watch much of the cartoon but wanted to. I just need some streaming service to show it to get the lust for what Super7 will make.
Will need to try to pre-order ML Secret Wars Daredevil after I paid a lot for shipping for VHS two pack with Hydro Man (unwanted) and made a custom using classic Black Panther and ordered the live action DD. Might need Illyana to join Sunspot even though the yellow doesn't match. Might want Absorbing Man.
Checked out the store and saw a GIJ CS Jinx then later saw an old guy maybe slightly older than me holding that last copy of Jinx. What's this old guy doing buying GI Joe action figures? Pfft. They had quite a bit of the two pack of divers, Budo, Policeman, another two pack I forget what it was.

Agreed but it is a good shout for a kit bash if you have the skills ( I don't) .
Guess he'd be called Man rather than Absorbing Man...
Bit annoying with the hands and lack of heads in some cases ...

Unable to get Daredevil on UK Hasbro site , I checked a few hours ago and they weren't up...I got an email from Hasbro, went to order them and they are saying sold out !!
Ended up ordering 2 Daredevils, Absorbing Man and Constrictor off another site...
Pre-ordered Daredevil without waking up extra early, then checked later and soldout. Hasbro should just make a new Daredevil every year along with Ironman, Spidey, Wolverine.
Will gamble on maybe being able to buy Illyana and Absorbing Man cheaper later. The vivid red and blue symbiote Spidey colors are really good.
I kinda want to buy a XXL Secret Wars aloha shirt like Dan Yun wore.

this one is very exciting for me. so far, only SHF & figma have released proper figures, but the cost for what you get is certified dog shit—premium prices on the laziest releases either company has in their catalogue

I'm itching to buy Super7 o-ring ReAction+ Visionaries and initial thought is buy all the characters they make because I didn't watch enough episodes to pick favorites.
Also want the GI Joe ReAction+ Flash and maybe Chuckles or wait for nicer colorful Chuckles repaint.
Amazon had Star Wars TVC Mandalorian (Imperial Base) relatively cheap, which a fansite said uses the better barbell hips and has soft goods cape. No idea why I didn't pre-order that long ago. Maybe I didn't know it was barbell hips.
Opened ML New Mutants Sunspot and leaning towards at least Cannonball/Cypher and Magik. Something about that original New Mutants uniform. They should make Kitty Pryde in that same classic uni.
