Social Toy Collectors Thread

Oh , forgot to say...the regular 3 of us that go to comic cons and nerdy things together, We're going to Cardiff next month for 3 days, loads of nerd stuff there , shops , modern doctor who was filmed there .

Anyway, picked up a pack of Top Trumps Star Wars starships to play on the train going there ...

I saw them and thought..." This is the way.."

Feels like I haven't pre-ordered anything in ages, especially after the $29.99 price jump price.

Saw a Transformers Seaspray(?) marked down to $15 at Walmart in store in retro cardback.

Funny , there's a used toy stall in my local weekend market and he has the original G1 Seaspray out loose for £10 along with Starscream and a few other G1 Transformers. It's those 2 that catch my eye as I had them originally....no boxes but I can live without them as I will probably display them loose like with the other 3 I own ...

Got my Cardiac figure in! Love this character!

So this is what I've been up to since October. I finally decided how I wanted to assemble my Horus Heresy minis. I'd had the old Calth and Prospero MK3 and MK4 marine kits sitting on the shelf since their original release because I wasn't sure how I wanted to assemble them (special weapon options, etc). Well, with the release of the Saturnine starter and some of the other discount boxes available I knuckled down and made up a spreadsheet of exactly what model needed what options. So here they are, finally assembled.

I still need GW to release the MK4 redux kit (hopefully sometime later this year) to be able to finish up my full infantry collection; I'm going to have 10 of each special and heavy weapon plus six squads of bolter marines. This will give me over 10k points of Marines (the typical game is played at 2k-3k, so yeah, it's a lot of dudes).

...now to paint all of it. Thank god for the airbrush, base layering these by hand would be a nightmare.
