Jesus, look at the pricing on these fuckers:

If they had a sub $50 bulbasaur I might have gotten it, but $650 for the starter trio?!?! $200 for pikachu? Lego has lost their damn minds...and people will pay it...

That is pretty cool though. :) But I'm not swinging that much cash as I'm not a LEGO guy.

Had no idea Lego got the Pokemon license. The Mega Bloks ones I saw in stores looked good, but never bought any.

OK, check this bad boy out. I had put buying this one off for a long time, wasn't sure how the "rotors" were going to turn out, but finally bit the bullet and damn if this isn't cool.

Brand: HIGH GODO
Name: Armed Mech (they really need me to help with their names)
Pieces: 545
Price: $28.69 (nice) on Amazon. Got for 6% off.
Stickers: About 30
Missing pieces: None, and plenty extra.
Stand: Yes

The stand is the basic style for High Godo/Sluban - ok, but nothing special. I do appreciate that it comes with one.

The mech would stand fine on it's own, mainly because they did the feet right. Nice, wide, and with plenty of flat surface area. All the joints are nice and stiff, with of course the exception of the knee joints. Still way too hard to bend. I did modify them some and it helped a lot.

Lots of stickers, but good quality and fit decent. I do wish they would make them just slightly smaller to make it so you don't have to line them up perfectly. First world problems.

Head sculpt was one piece with only a post to attach to the shoulders which lets it rotate and move up and down.

They once again used the pistons on the ankles and torso which I'm a huge fan of, as well as the more model like hands.

Normally I am not a fan of the orange on these, but here it looks awesome. Just used on the wrist mounted rocket launchers is perfect. Not a lot of translucent pieces, but they really add to the look. The teal for the missiles on the shoulders looks a little off, but I still dig it.

They also give you a really cool looking mini fig. The helmet/visor/mask combo looks sweet.

Now for the part I was worried about - the rotors. Holy shit these are AMAZEBALLS!!! You can position them in so many ways - folded up, semi spread open, fully open either vertical or horizontal.

Overall I both wish I would have got this sooner, but so happy I finally bought it. This is a 9.5 outta 10, and would have been a 10 if there were more printed parts.

On to the pictures!

*IDEA!*

Those rotors would make amazing "Buster Swords!" A-La Final Fantasy VII!

I have a foam cosplay one and I'll post a pic later.

You could probably order that piece on Lego Bricks & Pieces or Pick-A-Brick and try to make a custom Cloud minifigure. It would look whack though with gigantic sword held by minifigure. I vaguely remember seeing an official Lego hairpiece that looks close to Cloud's crazy hair.

I once thought about trying to make a pink "BADMAN" shirt like Vegeta's via pink oxford + custom embroidered "BADMAN" patch, but that might attract too much trouble from truly badmen/criminals/troublemakers. I don't even wear my PRIDE t-shirt or Punisher skull t-shirt which I misplaced. It was nice cool material.
