Well....I may have broken her spirit folks.

Today my wife of almost 30 years said that she saw something that she thought I might like ....

Somewhat nervously and cautiously I asked in a scared tone what it was .....

She suggests that I may perhaps like a ' collectable ' for Christmas ? ( Not toy - a collectable) and have I seen the Monster High Wednesday doll ( she slipped up there but I let it slide ) .

I said, which one, this led to a sudden rabbit in headlights look from her but she rallied well and showed me the Wednesday wearing her dancing gown which I do really like ....but I prefer the other one with her in her Nevermore uniform.

Upon examination she decided that she agreed with my opinion and proceeded to purchase said Wednesday Collectable.

And in other news , this turned up yesterday...

The Monster High Skelita Calaveras doll (!!!)

I sent my good lady that same photo and her response was " Actually, she looks cool , I can see why you got her ....".

I'm getting distinct Bodysnatcher vibes today .

Amazon has Gundam Universe Sinanju pre-order for $35 and another maybe from Gundam SEED with big poofy fin funnels I think. Haven't really watched much of SEED yet.

Yea , I opened up a lot of duplicate ML I have ( look away STRYCHNINE) . Most annoying bit apart from ripping them open was trying to fit the cloak on Count Nefaria .

NECA has a 5 figures for $100 going on.

Well, I was supposed to be on a road trip to a toy fair today but the other chap messaged me and said he is still going but has a sore throat and is not feeling great. As I have a dodgy immune system and flu is running rampant in the UK currently I decided to duck out ... especially as he was in London on the underground and that's a breeding ground for viruses ....

Dunno what to do instead ....

I built a Lego set for my mother yesterday, a floral arrangement and it was not a good build. Very fiddly and lots of tiny bits like blossoms . Looks good made up but I have no desire to build anything completely today . Maybe finish off the Wednesday dorm kit I have outstanding...

Those floral sets are a bitch. The bonsai tree I did looks good, but I wouldn't recommend it. I remember the instructions sucking too.

Is it impolite over there to ask buddy to wear a garbage bag over his head to toe? To keep the germs away.

My plastic glue was finally running out after years of use and dozens of kits assembled. Unfortunately, Testors no longer makes the needle applicator bottle. I went to the little hole-in-a-wall nerd shop the next town over and they had a bottle of Army Painter brand glue so I picked that up to try and it's the wrong consistency. It's like the old-school Testors in the red metal tube: it's goopy and stinks to high heaven. Great for putting a weapon on the end of an arm, where you want it to stick exactly where you put it without having to hold it in place for more than a few seconds, but its lack of precision means larger parts, or lots of small parts, becomes a pain-in-the-ass.

So I did what any sane person would do: I ordered three different brands to try out (Revell with the needle bottle, Testors in the inferior all-plastic bottle, and Tamiya Extra Thin with the brush-cap).

Until my glue ran out I'd been putting together a shitload of infantry. I've only got a dozen left and will have done like...175 of them in the last six weeks.
