And found a second hand box of Marvel Legends.

All opened and just put into plastic bags.

Picked up

Captain America comic style ( 2013 BAF Mandroid figure ) Not great but about $6 so , no Biggie...eyes slightly uneven but he'll be in with other figures unless I find one I prefer..

Went over to chat to him and he comes across exactly as he does on the videos, nice guy and he seemed to be happy someone recognised him . Had a little chat and took a photo with him.
 
And there were 4 of us went up , daughter and I and a friend from work and a woman who works nearby that I've become friendly with. It turns out that she's a bit of a nerd too and we chatted and she said she'd love to do a comic con ...so we took her to London which was a bit of a surprise for a country girl.

My daughter has grown up with comic con and similar whereas it was an eye opener for the country girl....but we walked in, saw Ka-Pow and the shop assistant saw the Thundercats tee shirt she had on and showed her a couple of Thundercats figures ....BOOM , sold ....comic stands....BOOM...Thundercats comics purchased ...sword/ weapon stand....BOOM , metal Thundercats sword and dagger purchased... and a variety of other bits as well.

She really seemed to enjoy it, was a bit nervous to start but the 3 of us kept an eye on her and made sure she knew what we were doing and where we were. We told her that she can chat to anyone walking around, everyone is there for a good time with similar interests and are incredibly easy going . Turns out we were right .

Yea, Comic Con seems to be a big equaliser, folks are happy to be approached and chatted to about costumes or anything.

When we had finished at our first stall we were chatting about Transformers and a guy overheard the Country Girl and said " Hey , if you're after Transformers , there's another stall down here , etc , etc " , showed her what he'd bought and gave directions which was good.

I said " I told you people at these are friendly".


In other news the retro carded ML Spider-Man turned up today ....when I walked in with a bag of toys...

On the flip side I am never getting the image of a 25 stone bearded 40 year old man wearing an Alice in Wonderland cartoon costume anytime soon....


My own fault, should have stayed away from that mirror....

And I looked at a couple more things and didn't pull the trigger ....

The Alpha Flight ML box set .
Transformers G1 style Blaster and Steeljaw
ML Silver Surfer
ML Vulture ( old man comic version )

^ picked up a pre-owned one of Songbird, bit of damage to the box but I've never seen her before, have no idea who she is as a character but I grabbed it anyway.

Was originally known as Screaming Mimi as part of an all girl wrestling themed villain team. Was part of the 2nd generation of the Thunderbolts (my favorite). I liked her.

I would have been all over that Alpha Flight set. Sasquatch (Walter - orange fur) is one of my favorite characters.

You may have had a different set to us possibly, it's a 6 figure set and had Vindicator and no Guardian and there is no Sasquatch in the box or , like you , I would have bit on it a good time ago now....

Sasquatch and Wendigo both were BAF's. I assembled Wendigo even though it wasn't the Hulk Wolverine 1st appearance head.

No , said to him that I had like 5 ML in my bag but he wasn't forthcoming on any new releases ...I mean, you'd think he would be incredibly inclined to tell some fat random gushing stranger that accosted him when he was stood minding his own business all about the leaks that he knows about and replies on for his business....

Yea, that's what I thought they were . When I've looked on eBay they haven't really looked good enough to me to go for . I like Alpha Flight but it needs Sasquatch with it and the ones I've seen I wasn't fussed by ....

I always assumed you look like Hugh Grant.

In Japan, if you flip thru US Playboy type magazines, they use some sharp metal edge to scratch over the pics of genitals. That's what I initially thought the beard was. Censored genitals.
 
Anyone here an expert in Nerf water guns? I want to see if there's one that could be used to water plants from a distance by connecting it to a hose that draws water from a watering pail.
