Social Toy Collectors Thread

Will that be possible with Jada toys making the single Street fighter and Mega Man figures currently?

I just saw on Marvel's website there's a Marvel vs Capcom bunch of old video games re-released for Switch, PS4, Steam, so I wouldn't be shocked if Hasbro actually used the MvC name in upcoming Marvel Legends releases.

Also, seems like some upcoming comics will have the Capcom Bengus super nice art on the covers. They had Storm, Thanos, Capt Am, Wolverine, Psylocke, Cyclops, Spidey. They should use the Bengus art for trading cards.

And regards the trading cards , the last two figures from ML , Warbird and Venom have had 85th Anniversary cards with the relevant characters on them which are quite nice .

Shame they didn't do them with stats on so you could play top trumps or something like that on.

Mezco Toyz exclusive "Junkyard Joe" based on the comic book character.

Are toy collecting adults a sad example of our stunted, juvenile mentalities in pampered countries? I say this as someone who has gone through the "adult nostalgic collecting" of NES games. I see YouTube thumbnails of balding losers with background shelves full of small white boxes, with their mouths and eyes wide open and a title something like "can't believe I finally found it"... It's shameful...

I've had the same thoughts since I started my transformers collection during covid.....it's grown to others like the hasbro pulse galactus, rattler and hiss tank and the Dr doom earlier this year.

I don't actually have anywhere to store all these boxes and not entirely sure I what I want to do with them now. display? store?

I suppose the goal is to have a space to display them, right? Maybe a game room or "man cave" although the latter seems too adult for this purpose... I have a third bedroom not in use and plan to arrange it as a "game" room, with the consoles hooked up and shelves displaying all the games and boxes, as well as boxes of cards and high end single cards in display shelves/cases... And a fog machine... ...

Those cards, in the 2nd year Impel Marvel design, look good. Never knew they existed. I'm guessing it's only for UK since I think Upper Deck had the Marvel license for USA.

Never did see Warbird/Ms. Marvel ML in Target. Was hoping to buy when dirt cheap at clearance price just like when they had ML Shang Chi's Awkwafina.

Target had GIJ CS Gnawgahyde maybe half price at $22. Passed thinking I might see it cheaper later and all gone. I did see D&D pre-painted plastic figurines in vitamin bottle sized box. Saw a Gundam Universe where looked like someone opened the box and stole the head not unlike the many plastic free Marvel figures where the heads were all easily stolen.

Somehow mount them high near the ceiling and give spiders and lizards something to play inside of.

Pretty much. We have 1st world problems:

Trying to find a specific collectible
Having enough room to display it

Rinse and repeat.

I'm really grateful for the opportunity we are able to do this. I grew up really poor (shopping at thrift stores, no car) and I remember only getting toys during Christmas.

Having said that, who's getting the Kickstarter Medieval Spawn? I think it expires in a day.

I had no idea this was going on. I have to pass on it though, a monkey came in with a wrench to the finances. No worries, back on track in two weeks.

Yeah I got the 1st Kickstarter but not sure on getting this one. The 3 pack costs more than individual figures, I thought McFarlane would give us a bundle deal. One figure is about $75 after shipping.
