Social Toy Collectors Thread

I recently realized I bought SHF of 2 Gokus, 2 Trunks, 2 Vegetas. Not sure if I'm mentally prepared to dive deeper into expensive Japanese figures. I should have just bought SHF instead of buying Dragon Ball Super and Figure-rise Standard.

I'm listening to the latest Full Force Podcast talking about Super7 from Joe Fest and o-ring is going to be called ReAction(+) "plus" and to represent the screw. Price $20.

Around the :54 point, he talks about Super7 o-ring and shows pics of prototypes comic B.A.T., Cover Girl, cartoon Cobra Commander & Snake Eyes (must have V2). CC & SE look good. Also showed Target exclusive suited Tomax and Xamot 2 pack.

Funny , we in the UK had " Action Force" for the 3.75 inch army range and that changed into Action Force branding but using GI Joe figures and then got rebranded as GI Joe in the middle 80s .

Still keep an eye out for the early Action Force stuff but not got anything.



Today my daughter picked up for me -

For about $25.

I'd prefer Thor clean shaven ( his beard folks, his beard...) and with his ribcage covered by a shirt but this'll do until I find one that ticks the boxes . I was thinking about the Ragnarok version and repainting the eyes but realised that I'm crap at that kind of thing....


And although I don't tend to get the smaller Marvel Legends figures these were about $,3.80 each

Hell of a deal on that Thor and Destroyer pack. I've always thought that the Destroyer was a cool concept.

Yea, it was one of those I wouldn't buy at full price but at that money....fits in with the other Avengers theme Legends I have.

Super7 ReAction had at least two low POA figures of the Action Force guy looking like red Cobra Commander and red Destro.

The ML 80th classic Thor was a pain in the ass to try to buy in store when it first came out.

I was gonna pop on The Predator, but I snagged the "Bloody" version a few months ago at Target. I just don't like the way this new version looks. I'm gonna pass on it.

So I've been totally obsessed with this Japanese band, Thee Michelle Gun Elephant (TMGE) lately despite the fact that they broke up 20 years ago and since then both the lead singer and guitar player have passed away. But here they are in action figure form! Unfortunately, I can't figure out how to order. The website is in Japanese and every time I try to add the figures to my cart I get redirected to the main page. Maybe they already sold out. E bay has a few available but they're pricey. Amazon also has a few available but the seller doesn't ship to the states. 😡
 
P-Bandai has another SHF Vegeta, but the "old costume" from Namek Saga and seems to have alternate torso plate where Freeza either put his hand through the tummy or lasered him. I forget. $60. Not quite easy decision so far.
 
Went to a local Book Off and found some Four Horsemen Mythic Legions figures. They ranged from $19 - $80. I bought 4 figures that were $25 each.

The sculpt and paint job is really good. I opened one and had to loosen the joints by using hairdryer. His space helmet doesn’t fit, it looked like it got warped in package.

For $25, I’d give it 10/10. If I paid retail of $45, I’d give it 8/10 because there’s some issues.
