They used to have a ton of quality control issues. Some of their new releases still have QC issues, but at least the figures are better overall. If you're into comic book figures they've been releasing a ton of great Spiderman, X-Men, and Batman figures.

Still hard to justify plunking down $90+ on a figure though.

Know anything about Mezco. I don't have any of them either and see that they have a few X-Men figs too.

i love the Mafex comic paint Spidey figure i got—great quality control & poseability—but i hate how the hand pegs are so small & fragile. i had the figure out of the box for maybe 30min before i snapped one off when i was trying to put it in a different position. so that really fucking sucked.

I like Mezcos. They're not for everyone though since some people don't like the cloth that is used on the figures. Generally, I think they're a better value than the Mafex figures and they don't have the QC issues that mafex is known for. Mezcos generally don't have as good of articulation though, mostly due to the cloth materials restricting the range of motion in the joints.

Check out some video reviews of the figures before you buy anything, that way you can see if it's something you'd like.

Never bought MAFEX, but the pre-order pics for Jim Lee Batman Hush Batman and Superman looked really good, like Jim Lee art in 3D.

I did recently see pics of upcoming one of those fancy expensive Japanese figures of yellow & blue tiger stripe Wolverine and boy did it look awful. Seemed like the whole costume was soft goods.

I don't have Hasbropulse anything. Never ordered from there before. I noticed their eBay store doesn't ship to HI and has marked down items where Hasbropulse seems to only have full price items. I think without Hasbropulse Premium, $50 order should get free shipping.

I saw someone on Reddit already turned their G.I. Joe Classified Zartan into Darth Bane with a giant holocron.

From HISS Tank from Yahoo. Says 6" and $9.99 so I'm guessing crude sculpt/construction, but looks like more than 5POA with elbows and hips.

Not sure if I should buy these or wait for Classified versions. The Red Ninja and Storm Shadow look similar to Classified, so a repaint might be on the way.
