Yeah, I buy figures that I like/fan of. If they turn out to be rare and let's face it everything that's made will be eventually, it's a bonus.
I'm starting to appreciate Star Wars Thrawn character, but can't get motivated to buy his Black Series Archive figure -- a guy in officer's uniform, not an armored adventurer character. I might buy a TVC Thrawn more to build my population of SW characters in that scale.

Also, I'm thinking about ordering a 1/72 Macross Plus YF-19 model kit. Looks cool and same scale as my other planes. I have a 1/144 Macross 7 VF-19 that's really crude due to lack of color separation molds.

By the same people buying Gamestop stock of a company itching towards bankruptcy and becoming a worthless stock.
Maybe so but it's still wanted. It's going to be as valuable as people are willing to pay for it. Whether one thinks it's dumb is irrelevant.

This dude infollow on youtube repainted his nickelodeon tmnt.
( Dripmode.)
It looks easy to do if you ever want to try yourself. I agree some toys look like shit and its embarrassing almost.
i painted the claws black on my completed Venompool BAF & it was a lot more difficult to keep it clean & even than i expected.

edit: won a Symbiote Blast Venom & super poseable Spider-Man 2 Spidey in auction on ebay today. also got a loose Big Time stealth suit Spidey on poshmark for ten bucks.

What made it difficult? The tutorial i saw by dripmode, for what i will be doing looks rather easy, and i suck at art etc.
Always looking for insight im being genuine here.

A lot of my figures have been reissues like the archives Boba Fett. People paying big bucks for a figure they didnt even care before Carano was fired is nonsense.
I didn't order the new re-do deluxe Boba Fett Black Series with flamethrower effect, but did order the new ROTJ TVC Boba Fett because the TVC one I have kinda sucks with 5POA hips and removable helmet that looks like it sits too low. The 5POA Galaxy of Adventures re-pack Boba Fett looks better.

I've always been a sucker for Macross!

I have a YF-21 and YF-19 from the Macross Plus OVA that I bought around 20 years ago. :)

The YF-19 I saw looks like it's a new release in dark gray by Hasegawa. One of the few nice examples of forward swept wings.

the thing i had the most trouble w/ was keeping the paint within the confines of the areas i was painting. this ofc could’ve been a problem for any number of reasons though ie the type of paint i was using, the size of the brush i was using, how much paint i had on the brush before applying, etcetera. i didn’t watch any tutorials because i figured painting the nails of the claws would be a piece of cake, but i might’ve benefited from at least one. fortunately the end result came out fine, it just required more thought & caretaking during the process whenever paint got onto the fingers.

From my "Macross Shelf" in one of my display cabinets. Please forgive the dust. :)

From L to R The Big blue one is the YF-21, YF-19, Klan-Klang in armor whilst giant sized, A miniature Valkyrie, and a large Valkyrie.

That's a Gundam Zeon flag in the background to the far left.

Is that a Master Grade Mk II in the bottom left?

When I was in Japan, I wasn't yet a Gundam fan. I wish I could go again and buy all sorts or random unnecessary nonsense stuff.

Did you ever check out Akihabara? Nakano, Shibuya, Shinjuku?

Gundam Battle Operation 2 is now on PS5 where PS5 players can mix it up vs. PS4 players, but in higher res/framerate, I think. They even recently put in English voiced base NPC's and in game "guy in the chair" support.

Yes! That is a miniature MK-II Titans on the bottom left. Oh yes... I had to make my pilgrimage to "Nerd Mecca" at least once while I was stationed in Okinawa.

Upcoming YF-19 Hasegawa 1/72

Two shades of gray. I don't remember that from Macross Plus.

Yeah, back then there was a real-world contest between the F-23 "Black Widow" and the F-22 "Raptor" to be the next gen fighter for the USAF. Macross Plus added that into the mix with the 19 and the 21 Valkyrie versions. That gray one wasn't in the original.

Didn't see any G.I. Joe Retro, in case pre-order fails, but saw a bunch of Master Chiefs from 3.75" World of Halo scale, so bought one without having played any Halo.

Still never saw any Target exclusive 6" Firefly or Cobra Viper.
