500 I think But going for a 1k now at Big Bad Toy.
How are kids these days liking MOTU enough to buy that at that price? Are they running the old cartoon again or a new cartoon?

I got really bad G.I. Joe fever and started watching the Discovery Family channel showing two episodes each late night after Classified and Retro went on sale. They're not showing Series 2 episodes, so I'm ordering the DVD of Season 1 of it. I never did see armored Cobra Commander in the cartoons.

I just learned Destro is blood related to Lady Jaye. Knowing is half the battle.

That reminds me of the Sentinel kickstarter that Hasbro had this summer. Glad I pulled the trigger on that one!

Yup. Glad I snagged one too. But now I have to get some Marvel X-Mens to go with it and not sure which to get. Retro, Modern,Etc ..

I feel attacked. My Vader just passed $300 with shipping.

fucking L O S E R

but no, i respect the collector’s hustle. i’ve never dropped $100+ on a single item, but i’ve paid over $60 first edition hardcovers a handful of times & prob spend at least $300/month on blurays. action figures just aren’t my drug of choice, not even if it’s a Nicolas collectable.

How much did you make from the TMNT line?

No idea, I was selling them during their original run. MSRP back in the early 90's was $4.99 or $5.99 if I remember correctly. I was selling them between $8 and $12. That's all I can remember.

My grandfather had a buddy that was a distributor for Kaybee Toys, my grandfather would take me to buy them right off of his buddy's truck.

I went into Walgreens to pick up something real quick and lo and behold the small peg section of hot wheels had all good real cars that are usually scalped at places like Walmart and Target. Ended up buying 8 cars... Luckily hot wheels are about $1 a piece.

Most I’ve spent on a figure was $285 - Hot Toys Darth Maul. Pretty pricey considering it’s almost as much as a Nintendo Switch.

Looks really badass though and they usually go up in value if I ever decide to sell it down the road.

I'm pretty sure my Walgreens never receive a factory sealed full case of anything, but instead get boxes of a few of this and that split among several stores. What's ridiculous is they had a $14.99 Marvel Legends sale including Silver Centurion Iron Man, but the website says not available online or in stores. It's like they don't want you to buy their store exclusives.

I was hoping to buy a really old stale Lego Star Wars Microfighters box to get a particular part, and even Walgreens home of the stale unwanted inventory didn't have any. I might try to use Tamiya acrylic paint to paint it myself.

Probably the best X-Men available in stores around now would be Retro/Vintage Rogue and Gambit from Target exclusives. Both especially Rogue are extremely hard to find due to scalpers.

The Rogue cardback has what may be brown orange Wolverine alongside Storm, Rogue, Gambit, so I am hoping they do him next as Retro. I wasn't paying attention to Marvel Legends when that version was released.

I could be wrong but I think TMNT is just hitting that spot were 40 somethings are looking up for the figures and prices increasing just like MOTU has been for the last five years, heard people talk about foot soldiers going from cheap/no one wants to everyone is looking for at least one .

Around Black Fri, Amazon had Lego train tracks box on sale, so bought one. They don't sell train tracks as individual pieces, so I used some sliding door rail pieces in the interim.

Turns out the small train wheels don't roll as well as the big ones that have o-rings on the rims, and the rims are what make contact with the tracks.

I'm trying to collect the originals now. I loved the show when i was a kid and the toys were awesome....this time i want to buy them but keep them in their packages

Yeah that may be true. The section at my local Walgreens was small, however almost every car was a real car with just a few fantasy cars. I got a Type R, NSX, and another color Jag I've been looking for since I heard they are fast. Maybe a worker from that store hand picks froma case before they give the rest to another store lol.

I passed on the Acura NSX red the three times I saw it since I'd rather get a Factory Fresh ordinary paint scheme one. I passed on a black and gold one that was maybe a year old when I saw it at a 7-11. I do want the Premium Fast & Furious new casting black Honda NSX though.

Thats the first one I ever seen and those wheel type are on a lot of fast cars so decided to get it. I usually skip pass the premiums and haven't seen the ID one yet. At the end of the day all I want is to find fast cars. I did find the gray Kia Stinger so let's see if it can hang with the blue one.

That's awesome. Back in the day I always bought one for myself, on top of whatever I had bought to sell with my grandfather.

I kept all of my TMNT, G.I. Joe, and Marvel figures and passed them down to my sons. My younger son is 11 now, and all that's left of my toys from the 80's/90's are a few figures at the bottom of his toy box.

I finally need to buy a Jedi Master Luke. Which should I pursue? Leaning towards the recent TVC Jedi Luke with the cloak from the convention 3 pack of Lukes, but I don't like the tunic. The TVC from a year or two back didn't have cloak and the Photoreal made him look a bit gay. The recent Black Series Endor Luke may have had a proper Jedi Master outfit under the forest soft goods, but I need the cloak. I have black fabric so would attempt to make my own cloak if I had a proper pattern. Either way, I may have missed my chance to buy at retail price online or in stores. Can't think of anywhere that has TVC on pegs in stores.
